We're in the clear, at least for right now, I guess. I know Leslie has a down fence and, looks like, a new wooden jungle gym. Everyone else make it through okay?
Re: Everyone OK?
All good here, glad to hear you guys are too!
Don't know how we dodged that bullet.
Tiffany,
I thought for sure you guys were going to get slammed!!! Glad every one's doing okay so far. Have a restful night if you can!
We're good here too (north edge of Dallas). Just rain & some teensy hail.
I have a possibly-dumb question... I grew up in a very small town that either didn't have a weather siren, or I just lived to far away from it, so I never even heard of them until college. So, when you hear a siren, what exactly are you supposed to do? Does that mean go hide in your safe place, or just keep a close eye on things? (Or maybe I should ask, what do you do when you hear the sirens?) One of these days I'll get the hang of living in the city
Everything is fine here.
Angie, sirens mean take cover.
I think ....
Back before the technology we have today, it meant you were supposed to go to your safe place. Now, I think they mean the same thing. However, now so long as you're watching the weather and know exactly where it is in relation to where you are, I don't see why you can wait a few minutes longer. One last thing: they can always say "It will be here at such and such time" but there's always a chance it could change course. We were on our computers in the bathroom, keeping up with what was happening and following friends' updates on FB in regards to the storms.

We had rotations in the clouds in Bedford but nothing came from it. We had the kiddo and the dogs in the bathroom. I was in and out of the bathroom with them but DH kept going outside to check the clouds so I would be watching the weather. We got some pretty strong winds and lots of tree branches down. Got some pretty good size hail too, between quarter and golf ball.
Glad everyone is ok!
We thought the tornado was headed straight for Irving but it died before it made it this way, thank goodness. We got tons of hail though. Luckily both our cars were under a car port.
All was good in Northern Richardson. Looked kind of bad about 3-4 miles south of us. My sister lives in OKC and said that it was so scary. They are all ok, but just 5 miles north of them, complete homes were destroyed. Can you imagine?!
All was good in Aledo. We were heading home from White Settlement and noticed the storm was directly north of us through Azle. After that we just got some winds/rain/small hail.
Glad everyone is ok!!
I'm in Grapevine and we are okay...
The hail was ridiculous. Grapefruit?!? REALLY?!

Brianna - Did you guys get grapefruit?
There were apartments torn up right here by my office. All of our airport managers are huddled in an office right now, I'm guessing that mean it hit our cars.
Re: Sirens - That is usually my queue to go outside on my patio and watch.
None that I actually saw... but a ton of baseball and ping pong sized.

Glad everyone seems to have come out well.
It was so weird. When it was dark and cloudy nothing was happening but when it became bright and looked like it was clearing up, that is when it started raining, the wind was really blowing and the sirens went off (winds can set ours off).
We are fine - our neighbors have some trees down and about 80% of the fences on our street are down. Our dog was like "OMG, huge yard!!" this morning...lol.
I do have a new play place, I felt really bad for the kids they were really bummed about their fort/swingset.
Our neighbor was on channel 8 last night talking about the swingset, which made me laugh. All is well though - I would hate to be an insurance adjuster today!
Ha! My friend is an insurance adjuster and lives for weather like that because it's good for business!
Yikes, sorry....
What area do you live in again? My sister lost her fence and the neighbors pool stuff ended up about 3 houses down.
