I just bought two tickets to Maui for the first week in August. I don't have a car or hotel reserved yet and I have no idea what we're going to do when we get there...I just ordered a couple of guide books from Amazon...but at least we're going somewhere for vacation. It's been like pulling teeth to get DH to agree to anything. Nothing I suggest ever excites him, but he doesn't offer any better suggestions himself. So we're going to Maui because I want to.
Re: Maui
nice vacation
I am crazy jealous of you.

Any recommendations? I've been to Oahu and the Big Island, but not to Maui.
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
YAYAYAYA! Way to go Kimberly! One of the coolest things I have ever done is bike down Haleakala for the sunrise. I know it sounds daunting, but you get up early (2am) drive up in van and bike down. The sunrise is just spectacular. go early on in your trip before you're used to the time change. Seriously a must do. Make sure to get the Maui Revealed books. We did drive the road to Hana, but if you get car sick, skip it. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. Black sands beach at the end was cool, but it's just a beach with black rocks.
I'm happy to share anything else! We did have a car and rented a house. FUN FUN!
