S/O Rec your (CHEAP!) convertible..

We need a carseat for DH's car because G is almost 30 inches now. However, she is in DH's car maybe once a week so nothing super fancy-but still incredibly safe. What's your recommendation?

  • We got a Graco from Target for DH's car.  The Cosco ones get good safety ratings, too.  DH didn't like the way the straps tightened, so we spent an extra $20-30 and went with the Graco instead.

We use a Cosco Scenera in my mom's car.  Sophia isn't in her car all that often so I didn't want to drop a ton of money.  It won't work in my car because the back seat is slanted WAY down in the back, but it works great in hers.

Same here for DH.  We have the Boulevard in mine because I am the primary driver with him and we always take my car around town as a family, on long trips, etc.  DH only takes/picks up from daycare with the Scenera and that is just a few streets over.  So I'm good with it :)

In all honestly, it's not a bad seat just not nearly as swanky as the Boulevard.  Less padding, etc.  Remember, they all had to pass the same national safety rating... some just have less bells and whistles ;)
