restaurant recs in annapolis
My husband and I are going out for dinner and a movie tomorrow for our 3 year anniversary and want to eat somewhere new. We want it to be nice but not super expensive. And not a chain restaurant. Any suggestions?

Re: restaurant recs in annapolis
Any preference on type of food?
Yellowfin (technically in Edgewater but very close to Annapolis...they can be pricey but I don't think they're too bad)
Tsunami (excellent sushi)
People love Pusser's but I've never been there
I loved Reynolds Tavern but ever since I explained it to DH as "the perfect place for a girly lunch" he doesn't want to try it
Severn Inn (also can be pricey)
Fado's (Irish pub/restaurant)
We are leaning towards Italian but really open for anything. We always get seafood so we don't want that.
For Italian downtown, there is Luna Blu (on West Street) and Piccolo Roma (on Main Street) - neither of which I've been to personally but I've heard good things. I hate Maria's so I would stay away from there. They also own Mangia's so it's the same food. They have good drunken late night pizza though. Further up West Street is Carpaccio's which is good. Other than that all of the Italian places in Annapolis are chains.
Hmmm Italian.....what about Brio Tuscan Grill? oh wait, I think that is a chain, you didn't want a chain. The only other Italian place I can think of is the one right downtown (Maria's) but I didn't think it was that great.
Oh there is also Carpaccio? In Park Place off of West Street. I haven't eaten there but a friend did and she liked it. Sorry I wish I could think of more right now!
Thanks for the suggestions! I am excited to try something new.

I don't know if you could get a real dinner @ Crush- I was there a year ago and it seemed like very small plates- not even real apps if I recall correctly.
Something similar to that, but with more real food including wood fire pizzas is vin 909 Wine Cafe in Eastport. http://www.liquidcommon.com/vin909winecafe/
Another option is Wild Orchid which is on West Street near the Westin hotel.
I have no idea how to quote someone on here! But you can definitely eat a full meal at Crush Winehouse. I had a delicious steak dinner there. It's a small menu, but so good: http://www.crushwinehouse.com/menu.html
I wouldn't recommend Wild Orchid. My office is near their restaurant, and I'm just not a fan.
