American Idol - don't come in if you don't want to know who won...
what did you think of last night's show???
i am glad scotty won. i think both will have great country careers. i think they have a little idol romance. i have a crush on steven tyler. marc anthony is creepy. so is lady gaga.
Re: American Idol - don't come in if you don't want to know who won...
I think it was one of the better finales. Usually the finale is one big "pat myself on the back" inside-Idol love fest. They managed to avoid that while still having a bit of fun.
I also think Scotty and Lauren have a little thang going on. They just seemed so close, and teenager-romance-y.
I think Scotty was a-shoo-in from almost the beginning, but his song is terrible! He sounds so off-key.
I was rooting for Lauren to win it. I wanted to see a girl win again and continue to hold to the theory that there will never be another female Idol winner thanks to tween texting.
I don't think there's a romance, but it would be cute! Her mom is always around and what guy is going to really flirt with a girl when her mom is right there. I saw it more as just being really comfortable - like brother/sister.
I thought the Mark Anthony/J Lo performance was creepy. Just eww. I didn't want to see her booty-dance.
Time will tell how their careers go. I've read there's a lot of backlash against them both (especially Scotty) from station programmers that have said they would be reluctant to play their music. They basically said it would have to come down to the single, but many of them disliked Scotty and called him a Josh Turner impersonator.
Generally I'm not a fan of Marc Anthony, he looks like a skeleton, and I feel like he probably dominates JLo a lil'. But I did not think their performance was creepy. It looked like a standard latin music performance/video (and I've seen quite a few of those in the past few years).
Like I said previously, I did not like Scotty's single (but I've never liked the AI singles), but if he puts out a half-decent country album, it will sell like crazy. It doesn't really matter if station programmers don't like him, if they get enough calls/requests for an artist, or when their single gets into the Top 40 of the genre, they will get played. Once Scotty is able to sing original music that he has (potentially nominal) choice of, he'll develop his own sound/personality.
HAAAAAA, this.

scotty said on the red carpet beforehand...""Every day's been a special moment with Lauren," said McCreery, 17. "I met her day one of Hollywood Week. We were in groups in Vegas, and she's my classmate out here in L.A. We've been together a whole lot. We talk about a lot of things. We've had a lot of special moments."
they totally did it.

oh oh, and he also said that Lauren was HIS American Idol!
I was hoping that Lauren would win and to be honest I would have never thought Scotty would be the winner.
I thought this year's finale was probably one of the best (performance wise) and I didn't think Marc Anthony and JLo we creepy at all, I thought it was HOT!!
