Yay: We had a wicked thunderstom last night.
Boo: The ceiling around our skylight finally started dripping last night. We knew it was coming, and have the supplies to fix it, but haven't been able to get up there yet. Looks like it's a bit more of a priority now.
Erin was watching American Idol last night. I haven't watched that show in seasons, but it really made me want to gouge my eyeballs, er, eardrums out. Yikes.
Tonight I'm hoping will be low key. It's a low calorie day and I just want to sit.
How is everyone today?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Goood morning!
We had lots of rain overnight, as well, and wokr up to a minor sump pump failure. Thanfully our basement isn't finished and it really just seeped out into the 5 foot radius around the pump and went back down. We've never had a problem before and didn't think to keep an eye on it. More rain today so hopefully things are okay while we are both at work.
I was lazy and slept in this morning and skipped the gym. I'm heading off to work in a few minutes and after work I need to shop for a birthday present for my niece.
Good morning.
Last night I tried my first fondant cake. It turned out cute for the first one. I am convinced I can make Preston's birthday cake so I will not be ordering one. Hope I don't eat those words.
Tonight I am going home to fed my boys supper and then off to get my hair trimmed and Jordan's trimmed. After that I plan on getting in my pajamas and laying on the couch to be lazy.
Morning Ladies,
Today I have my pre-op appointment for my repeat hysteroscopy tomorrow. And Sully needs to go to the vet because he's been licking the bottom of his paw for the last 2 days, and started again this morning.
In good news, there's a Pampered Chef party tonight, and I'm hoping Sean will buy me a new kitchen toy.
Morning!
I was home alone during the storm last night, well with the dogs, and we didn't like it one bit. Haha.
I reeeeally wish it was Friday today, but oh well. I only have 7 more shifts left of work before I go on maternity leave - I can't believe it! This weekend is my second baby shower and we are doing a pregnancy photoshoot, so excited!

Good morning! Last night's Paul Simon concert was pure awesomeness, full stop. I got to chat with reba a bit before the show, and then enjoyed two hours of Paul Simon. Before that, a dinner that included, Bell's Oberon, a tasty burger and a huge slice of red velvet cake. We didn't get home until nearly midnight, but what the hell--you only turn 33 once! Perfect evening.
Today will be quiet--I have some tedious stuff to do at work, but it should keep me busy. I'll just go home, eat a light dinner, then relax and read.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Hey guys! Oddly enough, we had a crazy storm here today too - tons of lightning and pouring rain. Rainy season has begun thank goodness. E's at a work dinner so I'm relaxing tonight and doing some work while watching Eastbound and Down... just bought the first season on DVD so I'm giving it a go.
E's birthday is tomorrow so we're meeting for lunch during the day and then going out of town to a riverside resort for the weekend. Hopefully it will be really relaxing, I'm so looking forward to it.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
Good morning, ladies.
It's so strange to be off one day in the middle of the week. I'm going to have a hard time remembering what day it is, especially with Monday off too.
Poor Cheddar is locked in the dog kennel, and doesn't really know what's going on. He can stand up, but it's very unsteady, and the pain medication makes him zone out. I'm hoping he gets somewhat comfortable and gets some rest. Nala took the beach towel off the top of the kennel and is lying on it nearby. I think she's concerned about her little brother. Silly dog.
Have a great day, everyone!
I was wondering how the Paul Simon Concert was. There is a Simon&Garfunkel channel on Sirius. I was listening to it last night while cooking and wishing I was at the show.
I'm excited Dh and I are going away this weekend to Savannah. We are taking my convertible on it's very first road trip. I'm so excited.
In cooking news my Dinner for friends last night came out fantastic, and pretty healthy. Good food and good for you food aren't always equal.
We just had a heavy spring shower a few minutes ago, and now the sky is blue again. It's actually been pretty dry here this spring, so the little bit of rain will probably do some good.
I had a very exciting night last night working on our taxes. In some respects, its bad that they give expats an automatic extension, because otherwise I would have this done already! Ugh. Such a pain. And the foreign income taxes are such a pain to work out on TurboTax.
Tonight I'm heading out for drinks with some drinks, though, so that's something to look forward to.

Not a super exciting night, but I did manage to tucker the dogs out in the sun for a while, do some laundry, run the dishwasher and do a quick vacuum of the outrageous amounts of fur piling up everywhere. I hate shedding season, and they all like to start at different times.
Tonight should be relatively boring since Grey's is over for the season. Hopefully a movie night or some Super Mario Bros. with the hubs. He should be pretty tuckered out from meetings all day and staying up late last night. Probably an early bed time for the both of us.
We had some nasty storms too. The tornado sirens started going off while we were cooking dinner. I can honestly say that I hope we never have a tornado in the middle of the night. I could barely hear the sirens while we were standing in the kitchen with our house almost completely silent as the cable had already gone out. I could barely make out a faint sound and thought that maybe it was the wind. Then I looked at Kyle and asked him if that faint sound was the tornado siren. Sure enough it was (I confirmed this by listening to the weather radio). So, I'm a little concerned about this recent discovery given that we live in an area of the country that gets tornadoes frequently.
Otherwise our night was good. We cooked up pancakes, eggs and bacon for brinner and watched the Glee season finale once our cable came back on. Tonight I'm going to be getting things together for the long weekend.
The Baltimore Sun has a good review of it here which is pretty much on the mark (at least in my opinion). I'm trying to make a setlist on my iPhone right now from memory because I am geek.
Good morning!
I was super cranky last night. I went to an optional choir rehearsal last night which i thought I really needed, but we just ended up spending all our time on the stuff which DIDN'T need rehearsing. And then I got soaked in the rain going home. Hmph.
Tonight will be low key, just hanging out at home. We've stepped away from our Thursday night choir commitments.

Hey! The storms were wicked weren't they? Holy moly.
I'm definitely one of the many who's dragging their butt today. I just want to sleep. Like... for eons.

It was super awesome and great to see Susi, too! We walked back to the Kennedy Center to get the car because we couldn't find a stupid cab. That was the only part of the evening I didn't enjoy, but I'm lazy like that.

Not much going on around here. Worked on a corkboard for a friend last night and waited for DH to get home from his business trip.
Not much on the books for today, just plugging away, waiting for the long weekend.
Good afternoon! Last night we had our business after hours party, it turned out awesome! We did a western hoe down theme and everyone loved it. We had a great turn out and perfect weather! My boss also made an announcement that hes going to run for District Attorney. The party was supposed to end at 7:00, but everyone hung around until about 8:30. By the time we got everything cleaned up it was after 11:00, so I'm pretty exhausted today.
But the good news is my boss was so impressed with the party he gave me Friday off! Today I've been finishing the clean up we didn't get done last night. Tonight we're gong to dinner for my FIL's birthday and tomorrow I'm sleeping in!
Good morning.
Gibson has had some bully issues at school so I had to talk to the mother of said bully and deal with that. Now it's turned into her friends thinking I'm picking on her and too much drama has unfolded. I just wanted to make the issue stop. We've been dealing with this boy since the first day of school and I'm finally at my breaking point. I don't think it's fair that my child has to come home from school in tears because some kid is hurting him. So yay for me I get to deal with this today! Ugh...
Then tonight Russ has a ball game so I'm hoping we can enjoy that tonight without the kids getting sick or something going wrong.
Have a great Thursday!
