Good things Thursday
What are three (or more) good things going on in your life right now?
For me:
1) It's a gorgeous, sunny day outside finally.
2) Summer hours start at work this week so I get to leave at 3pm on Fridays until early September...and, of course, it's a long weekend. Hooray!
3) MIL seems to be doing really well with her chemo and I feel better now that I've seen her and her spirits and energy seem high.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
Re: Good things Thursday
1. Everyone is okay in my family. The Joplin, MO (30 mins from my parents) tornadoes held us up so we were a day late getting home. The Kansas City tornado that touched down yesterday did not affect my sister or her loved ones.
2. DS absolutely lights up at the sight of the dog and it makes my heart melt.
3. It's DoggyB's 6th rescue day tomorrow! I would make her a cake, but she's on a restricted diet right now due to urine issues.
1. The weather the past couple days has been great so I've been wearing skirts and dresses to work
2. Summer kick-off party today in the office which means summer hours-4pm on Fridays
3. My DH comes home from his business trip to FL tomorrow
Hmmm...
1. Today is my last day at a job I've been wanting to leave for awhile.
2. My hubby is being super supportive of me trying to figure out what I want to do career-wise. Love him!
3. We leave for FL on Saturday....get to see the family and friends for 2 whole weeks! Plan on coming back with a nice tan
4. I'm happy and excited about the future!!!
I'd like to work somewhere with summer hours!!
Yeah, this is a first for me and I love it. Plus Fridays are casual days so it's even better.

1. The beautiful weather and long weekend - finally the sunshine!!
2. My new job that starts in 1.5 weeks. It'll be so nice to do some different things and have new people on my team.
3. The apartment that DH and I are moving to next month - and for finally being able to get out of MIL's place!
1. Being married is AWESOME! I am so glad that I was finally able to marry my best friend. Well worth the wait!
2. I had cookies for lunch. Key Lime cookies. They are so tasty!
3. My father-in-law's knee is healing quite well after his surgery. It's been hard for him, as he is not a "sit around and wait" type of person.
4. My father is flying to Boston for his 50th college reunion at MIT, and he is coming out a few days early to spend some time with us! I know I just saw him at the wedding, but it will be nice to spend some real time with him - as my parents next planned trip out here is May 2012 (my parents/family live on the west coast, and I only see them once, sometimes twice a year).
DH gets out at 1 on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I love it!
1. DS is doing wonderfully. I enjoy motherhood so much more than I ever imagine (although it is also so much more difficult at times that I thought, too). He is the sweetest, happiest baby and we have such an amazing time together.
2. We're finally settling in to a nice routine. It took a long time to feel like life was "normal" again, but we're finally there.
3. We have a family member dealing with a serious medical issue. It's a very young child whose condition is life threatening, so I haven't really been sharing it on here. But, she's doing well at the moment (which, obviously, is a relative term, but good news nonetheless).
1) This baby that I am growing
2) only a few more months of work
3) this fantastic weather
By the way I am jealous that some of you guys get summer hours!
