Barbecues and such? What is everyone doing?
We have two barbecues to go to, and I am going to start my garden. I am hoping that I will have better luck this year than last!
Re: Memorial Weekend Plans
Don't know yet what we're doing. It's our anniversary weekend (six years!) but with just getting back from Arizona to take care of MIL and having to go out again in a few weeks, our usual plans to celebrate took a back seat. Still might go to P-town, but not sure. Otherwise, my family is hosting a BBQ on Monday and we'll do that.
We are attending one BBQ and one birthday party (my friend's daughter is turning 7!) Also, we are going to look at some new furniture, as the bedroom "set" we have is falling apart (definitely got a lot of the stuff off of a curb while in college, and now, many years later, it's time to get rid of it!)
Friday is my last day at work. Me & DH fly down to Orlando very early on Sat. My nephew's graduation is that night....no idea what else we are doing, except spending time with family and friends for the next week, while melting in the FL sun. DH comes home the 5th....I get to stay until the 13th
Then back home to find a job...
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Haha, I'm just trying to imagine my husband packing for me. I'd probably spend the first day going, "did you bring this? Or this?" I love him, but I am totally OCD about packing.
Hope you have a great trip!I can't wait to hear where you end up.
We started our vacation (well, staycation) yesterday, so I'm off until Tuesday. We're going to Kittery/Portsmouth today, and we have tickets to a Paw Sox game on Saturday night. Otherwise, we're doing a whole lot of nothing, which I am beyond excited about. Probably a couple of movies, and we may hit up the Sam Adams tour because we've been talking about going for years, but never do.
Oh man, DH could never pack for me, nor could he pack for DS. He can be so clueless.
We are going to a cook out with the IL's on Sunday. DH is working on Monday
We're gonna go stay at my parents...they're out of town....but they're primo location to most of our plans this weekend. we're gonna go friday, do take out and laundry, have all day saturday to be down there (im gonna try for reading by the beach/brother's pool and friends at night) sunday is my niece and nephew's bday party, we'll come back up here for a cookout at his sister's at night and then monday is at his uncles i guess.....I need a pick me up like nobody's buisiness.....got a rejection email at 6:45 today. gotta love that!
Getting fit for IVF!
Lurker coming in.... My family has a cottage in ocean bluff, marshfield. DH and I wil be there for beach and bbbq. My big goal for this weekend is to try going from bright white white to off white. But there is a 99.9% chance of me getting a sunburn and freckles; even with a vat of sunblock with zinc.
Oh, and we are going to eat a lot of fresh seafood.....yum! DH is excited about steamers and beer.
Welcome!
It's so weird to me that our little board has lurkers. C'mon out and play, people!
Sunday we are going to the beach for a beach BBQ at a friend's house. She has a DD the same age as DS. she lives right on the beach so it will be a very nice day to be able to go back and forth from the house to the beach.
I think our neighbors want to GTG Saturday for a bit. We'll probably just throw some stuff on the grill and keep it casual.
No idea on Monday. I really want to de-clutter the house (I am a pile-er and they can get a little out of control) and we need to go to Lowe's to buy tools to anchor our bookshelves with.
Welcome to you, too!
It's hard when you're first married to break old family traditions. I was so bummed to miss my first Thanksgiving with my family so that we could do it with MIL instead (she's not local). But eventually you settle in to new traditions.
Thanks! Yes, it's hard to break the old traditions but I know the house isn't going anywhere. I don't HAVE to go there specifically on Memorial Day. Although, H and I got married on the Cape and I haven't been there since the wedding! I am going through serious withdrawal!
I hope he feels better soon!
