Anyone doing anything fun for the long weekend?
I've got.... nada.
I am in the process of joining a private swim club so hopefully that will be done in time to catch some rays over the weekend - otherwise nothing...
Thinking about heading out to Annapolis for some crabs with a girlfriend at some point - any recommendations?
That's it! Share your wonderful plans and let me live vicariously through you!
Re: Plans for the weekend?
Friday night we're going to Friday Night Live in Herndon as usual.
The rest of the weekend will be chill, but we ARE celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday. We invited friends and family to join us picnicking if they want to in front of the Netherlands Carillion, where we got married.
we'll likely be there, too -- my first time this year!
"What is a week-end?"
you MUST got to Cantler's for crabs -- and sit outside, on the river! and drink beer!
"What is a week-end?"
Friday night/Sat. morning we'll be running errands and possibly seeing an apt. I also need to squeeze in a workout.
My parents are coming Sat. afternoon, so we'll hang out with them. We'll go out to dinner to celebrate my mom and DH's b-day (both were just this week), and go mini golfing for the first time this season. I'd also like to pick up some herb plants from Home Depot.
Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!
Planning Bio
That sounds like exactly what I'd like to do! Thanks for the rec, Pam!
Stand up for something you believe in.
My husband is going out of town from tomorrow afternoon through Sunday late afternoon, so I'm home alone...YIPPEE!!! Seriously I am excited to have "me" time. My plans include: shopping, watching stuff off the DVR, going to a bar on Saturday afternoon to watch the Champions League soccer game (Go Barcelona!), and having some margaritas and/or wine while I read outside.
Once DH gets back, no clue of exact plans. I'm hoping to maybe talk him into some furniture shopping on Monday since there should be sales and we want to get a new coffee table, end table, dresser, and nightstand.
tonight: DH gets home (he was in nyc most of this week) so perhaps we'll watch something from our netflix queue
tomorrow: day off for me! i plan to sleep in, workout, and get a much-needed mani/pedi. then meeting some friends for happy hour at westend bistro.
saturday: probably lounging around with the hub and going to see the hangover 2 in the afternoon. maybe a dinner date in g-town afterwards.
sunday: our usual sunday errand, laundry, etc... and then maybe i'll do some shopping while DH is with his gaming peeps
monday: probably the gym then we're heading to grill with friends (as a non-grill owner, i am psyched for this!)
hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Yay!!!
School tomorrow. I think we might go out for dinner.
Saturday I take DH to the airport, he's at a conference in New Orleans until Thursday. I will miss him, but I am also looking forward to some time alone. Then I have to drive up to Frederick to pick up our CSA box. Saturday I also need to hit the gym.
Sunday I'll meet up with SIL and her bf in DC or Alexandria somewhere for the day.
Monday I need to hit the gym again, then it's just me and the dog. I'll probably do some grocery shopping and then DVR/couch time. I've been saving all my season finales for when DH is gone.
My Food Blog
My nephew has a graduation party with another kid on Monday so we'll be having a family/ 17 year old overload party at a park.
I think I might go outlet shopping after all the posts this week
We have nothing going really.
We want to do some major yardwork in the backyard - replacing mulch beds, pulling up other beds that contained nothing, cutting grass, etc.
DH gets to do all this while I pretty much sit and do nothing - still recovering from hand surgery so I'm limited in what I can do.
We plan on grilling out though.
I'm not sure. I had planned on going shopping, but I did most of that online last night... so i'll probably just do some yard work and clean up the office.
DH wants to study all weekend, but i'm sure I can change his mind once I put a pitcher of margaritas in front of him... I also have to go for groceries.
My weekend sounds pretty lame!
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Tonight: Netflix & quality time with the hubz.
Saturday: strawberry picking at Butler's orchard and doing some stuff around the house.
Sunday: jam making, gardening, hopefully brunch somewhere and then work
Monday: more gardening, neighborhood potluck. maybe Ikea.
Baby248 - ETA 1/10/13
Tonight: Paul Simon at the 930 club.
Tomorrow: Packing up the car and driving solo with the kiddo to our lake house weekend. (DH is already there with friends). Wish me luck, and a long nap.
Sunday: Lake house fun continues.
Monday: Come home and get ready for another hectic week!
Tonight: packing and hopefully able to get to bed early
Tomorrow: super early flight to Myrtle Beach, then drive to Charleston for a few hours to eat some tasty southern food and walk around, then continue on to Kiawah Island where we are crashing BIL and his family's vacation for a couple of days! Super excited for beach time!
Sun- run in the AM, beach the rest of the day and hanging with the nieces and bil/sil
Mon- repeat of Sunday for most of the day, until it's time to drive back to Myrtle in the early evening to fly back to DC
