I can't say it isn't deserved. Well done.
My father is a die-hard liberal and growing up, all I ever heard was that Dems excelled at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, but this year the Dems behaved like the Repubs usually do - with a great deal of discipline, staying on message and steamrolling the opposition.
I'm bitterly disappointed in McCain, but I can't say I'm going to shed any tears over the fact that Palin won't be VP.
We've got a lot of work ahead of us and I am optimistic that Obama will actually be able to make some positive things happen. Let's hope that rifts are healed and we can move forward and make things happen! Congratulations!!
And with that, I am signing off for the night.
Re: Congratulations, Obama supporters!
Thanks IIOY, and thanks for hanging out. I realize the conservs are not around tonight, and I can completely understand why not. My condolences for your loss. Here's hoping this victory is a healing one, and not a divisive one like 4 years ago.
You are awesome.
I've actually been meaning to tell you lately how awesome I find you. ??
This was very classy.?

Hey, I'm here too! And while I'm disappointed, I can be gracious and happy for y'all, and hope that this signals a change for the GOP. Maybe now they'll finally get that running on Abortion and Gay Marriage = defeat, and we'll return to fiscal conservativism.

I understand. ?It's really hard.
I honestly feel no schadenfreude right now. ?I'm too excited and genuinely happy.?
Ditto!
