UGH - debit card number stolen again
This is the 2nd time in 6 years this has happened and this one's worse.
I got a text message from my bank saying insuffient funds this morning.. I was like WTF that's not right. I logged into online banking when I got to work, 1k was gone. Someone got DH's debit card number and made their own card with their own pin number.
These were 2 frickin ATM withdraws of $500 each and happened in DC. I'm so mad. DH has his card and when it happened he was at home sleeping with me (12:52 this morning). Part of me is glad it was an ATM so I'd think they would have it on tape as to who used it.
Nothing like this happening over a holiday weekend.
Re: UGH - debit card number stolen again
Oh that totally blows.
Does he have any idea where the card could have been compromised?
I hope that it gets straightened out quick. Sorry you have to deal with this.
Sounds like a couple drinks are in order once ya'll get this straightened out.
I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you can get it all straightened out before the long weekend. I guess the semi-bright side is that at least it didn't happen Friday afternoon...
