a) The girl can't help how she's built.

b) I can't believe this court would entertain this nonsense.

c) I'm infuriated because it is very likely that someone could say the same thing about me and I really hope they take care of this efficiently.

    me either! that's crazy.

  • I agree it's ridiculous to complain about something she can't control.  How stupid.

Just curious, is it common for people to sit next to the lawyers if they don't have legal experience?  I'm not sure how that works.  Although the article says she is a paralegal so I'm not even sure why this guy says she has no experience.

Paralegals DO have legal experience and are usually not hired by reputable firms without certifications and training.  Legalese is a hard language and isn't something you just pick up.  Being a legal assistant is hard work and they're part of the (in this case defense) representative team and shouldn't be excluded from the bench.

Gotcha.  I don't understand why that dude would say she has no experience.  Sounds like he's just looking for a reason to complain.

agreed and i would be totally offended- I had a co worker tell me that I was distracting people when I was completely covered. I was pissed

  • All of the above. That is just wrong on so many levels. If he was really concerned about her "legal experience" the term "large breasted" shouldn't have appeared anywhere. What do her breasts have to do with her legal experience?? And if the jury is THAT distracted by boobs, maybe they didn't screen them well enough in the first place.

Oh, I would have been pissed right there with you. My first response would have been, "well, I'll stop being 'distracting' whenever you get around to paying for my breast reduction surgery." *smug smile* Some people are just plain dumb.

I had a (female) law school professor get mad because I beat her pet student in a debate and take away all of my points for appearance because she said my suit and blouse were "tight and distracting".  I wore the same thing and marched into the dean's office to contest the grade, and pitched a fit.  That was the end of that.
