me either! that's crazy.
I agree it's ridiculous to complain about something she can't control. How stupid.
Just curious, is it common for people to sit next to the lawyers if they don't have legal experience? I'm not sure how that works. Although the article says she is a paralegal so I'm not even sure why this guy says she has no experience.
Paralegals DO have legal experience and are usually not hired by reputable firms without certifications and training. Legalese is a hard language and isn't something you just pick up. Being a legal assistant is hard work and they're part of the (in this case defense) representative team and shouldn't be excluded from the bench.

Gotcha. I don't understand why that dude would say she has no experience. Sounds like he's just looking for a reason to complain.
agreed and i would be totally offended- I had a co worker tell me that I was distracting people when I was completely covered. I was pissed
Oh, I would have been pissed right there with you. My first response would have been, "well, I'll stop being 'distracting' whenever you get around to paying for my breast reduction surgery." *smug smile* Some people are just plain dumb.
I had a (female) law school professor get mad because I beat her pet student in a debate and take away all of my points for appearance because she said my suit and blouse were "tight and distracting". I wore the same thing and marched into the dean's office to contest the grade, and pitched a fit. That was the end of that.
