I know it's a little early for weekend postings, but I'm taking off today after work and won't have much in the way of internet access until I get back into the office on Tuesday, so I thought I'd see what everyone is up to on this lovely upcoming holiday weekend! Any fun family traditions to kick off the summer season? BBQs? Road trips? Boat rides? Camping?
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and the weather cooperates, cheers!

On Saturday we are having lunch with my family, it will be BIL's first time meeting Matt, and youngest sis's first time meeting the little dude.
I want to do yoga on Sunday morning but I am not sure if the studio will be open, got to check on that!
Other than that nothing is really planned. Actually I don't even know if Matt is taking Monday off. Hmm. I bet he's not.
I'm working all weekend, Work has been crazy busy for about a week and a half. We have the lowest gas prices in the state and there are cars lined up on Rt. 4 waiting to get in the lot! And with it being a holiday weekend, it should be even busier!
On a less hectic note, I'm headed up to Bangor tonight to see Ray LaMontagne and Brandi Carlisle. Eeek!! Can't wait
I've been planning my summer trips this morning. (coastal botanical garden, gilsland, smiling hill, two lights, and more)
Seth is running a 5k on Memorial Day that is put on by Abe's school. I think he is hoping to win.
I want to go somewhere...maybe Gilsland or Wolfe's Neck and have a picnic.
I have a furlough day tomorrow so I'm planting my garden while I have some time alone!
Might I suggest a trip/field day to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens some time in late July or early August??? I know a certain little bambino that would love to meet Abe and see all the pretty flowers...

This cracked me up.
Well DH and I were supposed to be leaving bright and early tomorrow to head to NY for 4 days to visit my family. However, my car has decided that it's going to be an @sshat instead, so we're postponing the trip until we can get it looked at and fixed next week sometime.
So, not really sure what the plan will be now. I'll probably end up coming in to work tomorrow (boo) so I don't have to use a vacation day. If we're not going to NY, I want to at least go do something fun. Maybe try and spend the day at the ocean. I have not been to a nice sandy beach to just lay in the sun and read a book in 2 years...which is ridiculous since we live in Maine and used to go every weekend when we lived down in Southern Maine! DH usually talks me into going to camp which is on a lake and also nice, but just not the same as the ocean. I'm going to push for some ocean time this weekend! Wish me luck!!!
Don't think we're doing anything special. May have a BBQ on the new deck, if we get new furniture!
We're going out for dinner tonight to celebrate FIL's birthday so we'll find out if they are taking the boat up to Sebago to put it in the slip or not. So, may do that.
Saturday and Sunday I'm working. Both are ones I've been looking forward to a ton and the one on Sunday is at a location I've wanted to work at since I started my business. It will make me feel "LIKE I'VE ARRIVED!" So I'm excited for that.
Monday I'm hoping to get DH to ride down to Portsmouth with me to check out a park for another job in early June. Then I guess we've been invited to a friend's house for a BBQ. News to me. LOL!
This weekend I will be continuing my 3 year old tradition of having to work over Memorial Day Weekend. I have tomorrow off and no plans other than cleaning the house and taking a broken window in to be repaired, then I work Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-10.
I do have Monday off and I'm spending it with my best friend who is moving to Charlotte, NC next Wednesday. I'm happy for her because it's what she's wanted to do for so long, but I'm so sad for me because she's the only really close friend I have who lives in the same town as me. Next closest friend is an hour away. I'm not sure exactly what we're going to be doing, but if it's nice out it's likely to include beaches and boat rides and BBQ.
Saturday we are having a yard sale at my parent's house in Portland (provided the weather holds up... which it will)
Sunday, not sure, hopefully I will get some time to seriously clean this pigsty of a house... we might go to the drive-in in Westbrook... they are playing Pirates of the Caribbean and Thor... depends on whether we want to drive all that way or not.
Monday: since Father's Day is usually the first Sunday of camp, and DH has to work... I am taking him to the movies to see Thor (if we don't see it at the drive-in) while my mom stays home with the boys and then hopefully get something to eat.
Tomorrow I'm planting my pots, mani/pedi, finishing painting my parent's bedroom. this has been a week long project I can't wait to finish!
Saturday: Yard sales, abby's first haircut, getting some patio furniture for a non existent patio :-) We're also going through my grandfather's stuff. He passed away five years ago, and my aunt and I finally talked my dad to do it. I'm on the lookout for a score card from a baseball game he went to while he was serving in the WWII. I also want his medal from serving in the same war. Wish me luck on finding them all!
Sunday: church and then a BBQ at our house. Give me a holler if you'd like to join us! All are welcome :-) Grill is going on at 1pm.
Monday; parade and hanging out!
