I was shocked at how much stuff was expired! I just don't pay much attention to the date on stuff unless it's my milk carton!
Oh yes, condiments expire but many people ignore it.
This could be a fun game.....what's the oldest food item in your pantry/fridge/cupboard. Hahaha!
I just threw away Jello that expired in 2009. But Thor clearly has me beat with her 32 year old baking powder, lol!
Wow! I thought I was bad. But Thors baking soda wins hands down. Last summer I did a major pantry purge and I had stuff in there from 2006 (H moved into this house in 2005).
OH wait!! Just 2 1/2 weeks ago I cleaned out our chest freezer in the basement. I tossed out an entire chest freezer full of Venison from 2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My dad gave us the meat and H would never let me cook it. I went through a 6 month period of him opening the trash can to see if there was butcher paper every time I cooked something that could have been beef or venison. So I gave up and it just sat there.
