I have an appointment tonight at this place in CC.
I'm in a wedding this weekend and I just cannot embrace the shade of white I am right now, plus I could use the slimming power of a tan. I've only done the crappy booths at Hollywood Tans where you come out looking like Snooki, so this is the first time I am doing the hand spray.
I made my appointment by email so I didn't get to ask a bunch of questions, so I just confirmed it was a hand spray. Is there anything I need to know? I am bringing my bathing suit just so I don't feel all nekkid, plus a pair of baggy capris to wear on the way home. Will it stain my clothes?
I shaved and exfoliated this morning. I didn't wear foundation today, but I do have some powder on. Do I need to wash my face? Should they spray that too? Or no?
Sorry for all of the questions... TIA!

Nice! Thanks for the tip! I used to do them all of the the time there, but it became very uneven and like I slathered on self-tanner and missed half of my body. It's been a while since I went there, so I'll have to remember this.
Are you talking about their Mystic Tan? I was actually gonna post about this. I wanna get this done, because it's cheaper than an airbrush tan, but was wondering if I would look stupid afterwards.
It might rub off on your clothing but most likely will come off. I used to drive home without my bra - or the straps pulled down. Blast the ac in the car, stay inside and don't shower til tomorrow. I always used to wash my hands afterwards so they didn't look too sprayed but keep water off of everything else afterwards.
i had them spray my face. I would use a makeup wipe remover or wet washcloth - make sure your face is clean and free of lotion. Also, use either a washcloth or makeup wipe to wipe any deodorant off your pits.
I looked at the site. Their tanner contains DHA - that's the ingredient that will keep you from looking orange. They have their before/after care listed too here: http://www.mysunmyst.com/Sun_Myst_Tanning_Spa/Preparation_%26_After_Care.html
GL! You'll look great!
Thanks LD! I am a dope, didn't even see those before/after care directions. Of course it's hot as b@lls and I'll be walking to and from my work so hopefully I don't sweat it off in the 6 block walk. Thanks for the tips about the deodorant under the arms, I would have never thought of that.
Ok, definitely should have taken a taxi! I think I survived without drip marks, but I was really sweaty. I had pants on for work today, not jeans, just lightweight cotton trousers but oh my. Not good. I forgot to bring loose clothing and had a white tank on today (like the worst possible clothes for a spray tan) so I called my DH to bring me a change of clothes. I told him to bring me gym clothes, so he shows up at my work with these tight spandex gym capris... so I was too afraid to throw them on for fear of it rubbing off or something so I just wore my baggy work pants and sweated like a mofo. The place itself was an oven and then like a moron, I was dragging all of this stuff from work. I could have planned the whole thing out a little bit better. I did have my bathing suit though so I wore that instead of my bra, ha.
That place kinda sucked though. I'll cut them some slack because it was the Thursday before a holiday weekend and it was super insane in there, but my girl kinda stunk. She rushed right through it and I swear it could be a little more even. For the money, I just expected a little more attention to detail. Plus she was barking orders at me. It was so strange.
