Swimming suits...

Ick, I know, but tis the season! So, after a very depressing night of trying on all 10 swimming suits I swear used to fit and used to look good, I am on a hunt! A lot of my suits were from my zero boob days and I went from a B to a DD, so yeah, they aren't working! I need something that will contain (my tatas) and hide (my stretch marks). I wear tankinis, but this year I cannot get one that plunges down the front. I *think* I am looking for something a bit more athletic, like sports bra-ish if that makes sense! Any ideas? Also, my hubby is convinced if he can get trunks for $15 I should be able to too, so the cheaper the better!

I got a really awesome tankini suit at Target last year that was reasonably priced and super cute.  It had a bit of a plunging neckline, but had a tie between the boobs that I could untie to show off less cleavage.

  • I really like lands end for suits. They are a little pricier, but they are high quality and they have really timeless styles. I think they have lots of styles that are more appropriate for real people that are still fashionable.

    Good luck!

  • I got a cute tankini from Younkers. Can't remember the brand, but it's sized by bra size. A big bonus for me is that it's long. I'm long-waisted and every tankini I've ever tried on is too short and reveals part of my tummy (my worst body part). Plus the fabric has lots of spandex it so it sucks in the bumps well. Not quite spanx, but you get the idea. It was expensive but so worth it.

    Edit: here's the suit.

  •  I got this same tankini last year at Kohls with matching boy shorts for like $30 total. I love the coverage it gives me but is still young/modern/cute.

  • I was actually at Sears yesterday and thought they had some cute options!  They carry Lands End, too.

  • lacey and jennrs - those are both really cute suits! I will have to revisit the cheap suit stores and try them on again. I felt like last year they weren't supportive enough to contain my boobs, but if you can wear them w/ D's, it should work.

Thanks! Yes, you totally need to hit up the cheap suit places. You can buy three for the price of one expensive suit. SCORE!

I should add that my boobs are contained in the suit but there is some cleavage.
