I've been going to Rockland Derm in Orangeburg for years now and I haven't been happy with them the past few times.

I went to Rockland Derm for my first appt last month and I also was NOT impressed. After waiting about 20 minutes after my appt time, the doc spent, maybe 3 whole minutes in the room with me for a full-body cancer screening.
I'm thinking about switching to the practice my husband sees in Tarrytown - Advanced Dermatology of Westchester. They one guy doc, Dr. Sturza, is kind of a jerk, but he said Dr. Stallings is really nice. http://www.westchesterderm.net/index.shtml

She's good- and honest. Try to get the first appointment of the day (and arrive a few minutes early); you could end up with a long wait some days.

She doesn't take our insurance? How much did you end up spending then? That's the problem I'm running into....I've been referred to a few other Derm's but none of them take our insurance which I'm so surprised with. I've never had a problem trying to find someone who takes our insurance before! I don't think I can afford to see someone who doesn't take our insurance so I think I'll have to keep looking.
The office in Orangeburg was the same for me too...last time I was there I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, and the Dr. practically blew me off once I got in the room. I have an Excema (sp) like rash on 2 of my fingers and it won't go away. He keeps just prescribing me new lotions and telling me to come back if they don't work. I'm not doing this anymore with him. I've been there 3 times in the past 6 months for this.
