Should I put my credit hours on resume for a degree I didn't finish...?
I have about 120 credit hours for my finance degree. I stopped going about 5 years ago when I got my current position.
Should I list this on my resume?
I have my associates degree and that is listed.
I was thinking...
University of such and such
117 Credit Hours towards Bachelors Degree in Finance

Don't drink the water.

That's kind of why I discontinued my degree. I got my first professional position 5 years ago, and knew I couldn't do my job and go to school at the same time.
I agree. How many hours do you have left? If it isn't many I would highly consider finishing even if you take 1 class per semester. If you have come that far you might as well have the degree. Esp now a days when most employers want you to have a Bachelor's. (at least for the jobs I've applied for)
Agreed. Plus, you stopped five years ago and have five years of experience.
Instead of listing the degree and how many hours, could you list some relevant classes instead?
Or, looking around, I like the way this woman recommends: http://tinyurl.com/47tgzv , although I might put dates.
Or, to combine those, I might do something like this:
University of Blankety, 2000-2003, Finance coursework
Relevant courses: Advanced Banking, Accounting for Non-Profit Organizations, International Finance, Commercial Bank Management*
*I would make this only about one line or so, but it would easily take up the same amount of space as what you were originally planning
Or, if it gets to be too much of a PITA, or your resume is full to bursting anyway, like all other PPs said, leave it off.
