Jimmies Cupcake Review
I was in a rush after work and asked the cupcake lady to give me 6 of what she thought were her best cupcakes. Because all of the cupcakes are names after people, I didn't have all day to read through the combos and decide what I thought I'd like best. When I got home they went into the fridge and I pulled them out after dinner for dessert. Of the six, two were red velvet which kind of ticked me off because 1. I asked for six different cupcakes and 2. I don't find anything special about red velvet cake. As for how they were, they were good but the cake was a little dry and didn't strike me as anything special. The frosting tasted great but didn't hold up well, basically melting over the sides of the cupcakes.
All in all, they weren't expensive at $2 per cupcake (actually 6 for $11.00 yesterday). Had they been more expensive, I probably wouldn't go back again. I got the feeling the owner is new to this business and still working the kinks out. I guess it's better I wasn't thrilled with them so I'm not eating cupcakes every Thursday it the truck continues at this market all summer.
