I know it's a little early, but it's slow and some people an early start to the weekend. What is everyone up to this weekend?
DH and I are having our nephews Friday night just to hang out and spend time with them. That is after we find out the sex our baby Friday afternoon!
Saturday morning DH is going to take the boys to Rice's to wander around, which they are oddly excited for, while I go take my 3 hour Glucose test because they are pretty sure I have GD.
Other than that, we will try to go mattress shopping because we need a new one badly!
Re: Holiday Weekend Plans?
Jess - we bought a Kingdown pillow top 3 years ago and it was the best decision we ever made. Worth every penny. We actually bought another Kingsdown this past Sunday for our spare room.
No major plans this weekend. Saturday is The Dude's birthday so we might have a few people over, light the fire pit, etc. assuming it stops raining for 10 seconds. We'll probably unpack more of our bedrooms and get the 2nd floor in order. Monday I'm going shopping for outfits for the bach. party and shower coming up.
My little nuggets
Jess- Tempurpedic. Worth every penny.
FI's in a wedding this weekend, so we'll be in Allentown Friday-Sunday. Monday I might head into work. I haven't decided yet.
Jess, check out Croydon Mattress factory, prices there are way better then say sleepys or other matress stores. They offer the same type of mattresses, pillow top, temperpedic, etc, but at half the cost. We purchased a king size memory foam two years ago, still feels brand new.
Just a family BBQ on sunday. that's all.
Very exciting, Jess! Are you going to tell your fam and friends or are you keeping it a secret?
Friday is my school's graduation...taking a break from grading exams right now. DH and I will head down the shore (assuming my report cards and narratives are finished) until sometime Sunday so we can scrub the pool.
We are hoping we can get our pool up and running for the weekend because right now it looks like this. That will teach us to get ALL of the leaves out before we put the cover on next year. It will take a lot of filtering and chlorine to get it swimmable.
haha we are going to d.c. for the weekend with my parents. i referred to them as the traveling au pairs as well.
We have three trips planned with them. My dad was all, "We don't want to be intrusive on your family time". And we are all "Making sure no one steals our sleeping baby while we are at a bar is not intrusive".
Ditto Croyden. Got our mattress there and it is by far the best bed I've ever slept on.
This is the first Mem day that Big Lar and I haven't gone camping. We were totes planning on going but one of his cousins planned a stupid holiday weekend wedding on Sunday. Our kid isn't invited and it's in VA and we're not leaving her with anyone for overnights yet, so I'm not going. So he's going to the wedding and I'm taking the babe to a family reunion in Reading.
I hate holiday weddings. Hate.
We had TWO summer holiday weddings last year. I couldn't drink, so that was one thing.
This year? People would be cut.
Not sure yet. Everything that has been recommended somehow involves me being dd - one more month people and then the tables will be turned! Although, currently, I see their hangovers as my revenge.
I need to find a chair for the nursery.

I too have a Holiday Weekend wedding... 2nd Memorial Day in recent years that I've had one. Bride chose floor length taffeta for a late May wedding. It's going to be HOT and I am sure to be sweaty and cranky.
Our 2nd anniversary is on Monday and we're also celebrating 8 years since our dating and married anni's are the same. You may think I am a hypocrite, but I did NOT get married on Memorial Day weekend, thank you very much. It was the weekend after in 2009. Haha. DH and I will probably be spending the day traveling, but maybe we'll try to have a nice dinner out and drink the wine from our wine guest book.
Grumpiness aside, I am actually looking forward to the wedding... can't wait to see all my girlies. And my bestie will be a stunning bride. We usually all gtg sans spouses/significant others but this time we'll all have our boys. It's always fun to see them interact with each other.
Tonight: Try to catch up on our forest, aka the lawn.
Tomorrow: Collingswood May Fair in the am, then a friends BBQ in the afternoon.
Sunday: Family BBQ and try to get the house in order.
Monday: More house wrangling unless I can find a pool to intrude.
Kernal...I would be down with drinking away the memory of said empty wombs.
the lake opens monday.
