Need book recommendations
Nonfiction though. Trying to find something both DH and I will like (and the nonfiction rule is his, not mine; don't get me started.) I want something I can download as an audiobook and burn on CD for our drive back from Las Vegas in a couple of weeks.
I'm pretty open. He's liked stuff by John Kraukauer and Anthony Bourdain, and he just finished "Greetings from Afghanistan."
Ideas?

I gave some examples above of books he's liked recently. Something along those lines.
"The Orchid Thief" by Susan Orlean is great. He may think a book about flowers may be too girly -trust me, it's not. Really good, interesting book.
I also really enjoyed "E=mc2:A Biography of the World's Most Famous Equation" by David Bodanis. Again, how interesting can a book about an equation be -trust me, it's fascinating.
I've heard a lot of good things about "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot and it's on my to-be-read list for sure. That one's made several Best of 2010 lists. The first two are currently out in paperback and this one is due out next week, I think.
"Blood, Bones & Butter" by Gabrielle Hamilton and "Lost in Shangri-la" by
Mitchell Zuckoff are a couple more non-fiction books on my Must Read list. I think those are both still in hardcover, if that matters.
Wow, just looked this up and it sounds perfect... I'll check out the others too. Thanks!
I was going to recommend this too, though I haven't read it.

Destroying the World to Save it - A book about cults and more specifically the one that did the terrorist attack in Japan on the subway several years ago.
Really fascinating, especially in light of everything that just happened with the nopocalypse.
