Cleaning a jacuzzi tub...

I am moving into a new condo and want to be sure the jacuzzi bathtub is super clean...i.e. nothing gross spitting out of the jets!  What is the best way to do this??  I was thinking of filling it up, adding bleach or some cleaning solution, and running the jets for awhile.  What do you suggest?  TIA :)

Re: Cleaning a jacuzzi tub...

  • That's exactly how I would clean it.

  • A friend of mine used bleach and dishwasher detergent, ran it and then emptied it out and ran it again with clean water.

  • When we moved I used a bleach-based spray (Lysol Bathroom I think) that I sprayed directly into the jets and then used a q-tip to clean them out after I had scrubbed out the rest of the tub.  It was fine but your way sounds WAY easier!

  • I work at a nursing home and we have a jetted tub in our shower room. That is exactly how it says to clean it out.
