who asked about l'auberge ?

I checked with a friend - she said its expensive but very much worth it ( I don't know jack about French cuisine, so I'm no help there )

As far as attire, she said its a " business casual place " -- she and her husband went, she said he wore dress pants and a linen shirt - she wore dress pants/shirt/sweater ( her work clothes )

HTH !

Re: who asked about l'auberge ?

  • This is my favorite restaurant in the world.  It's wher DH proposed officially--down on one knee.  I will say you do see a variety of dress in there, but they do prefer men with jackets--no tie necessary.  DH will usually wear dress pants, a button down and blazer.  I wear a dress or skirt and silk sweater (we always go for my birthday which is in late June).

  • That was me.  I asked the night before we went, so I winged it with the outfit.  DH was cranky for a while because all the men there were wearing their jackets and he got too hot in his, but it was a really nice meal.
