Farragut Square area lunch recs?
I'm meeting up for lunch with an old friend i haven't seen in a bajillion years tomorrow. She works near Farragut Square and has left it to me to pick a place, but I'm not familiar with lunch spots in the area. Any recommendations? I want something relatively inexpensive, but still sit down since we have a lot of catching up to do.
Thanks!
Re: Farragut Square area lunch recs?
if you want a sit-down nice place, i would recommend this:

for sushi, i like this place
http://www.wasabisushi.com/ or
http://www.cafeasiadc.com/
if it is not hella hot you can grab salads here and sit in the park

there's also vapiano on 18th street - you can order your food and then sit down without being interrupted by waitstaff.

i've been to kellari in nyc, it's very good but definitely pricey.
good call on Vap!.....kellari can have some good lunch specials though!
Second Wasabi. I personally can't stand cafe asia... but, a lot of people like it, and it is pretty close to Farragut Sq.
Sometimes when I want a lingering lunch, I'll go to Oval Room for a sandwich (all of the other items on the menu are $$$, but, the sandwiches are only around $12-13!)
There's a McCormick & Schmick's near 15th and K.
I've never eaten there, but, at 17th and I, there's a place called Cafe Soleil. Some friends had drinks there, and they said the waitstaff was really nice.
Brown Bag
Devon & Blakely
Roti
G Street Cafe
