So DH always takes his wedding ring off when he comes home from work or goes for a shower, and where does he put that ring might I add?? Next to a drain of some sort, be it the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, etc.
Well last night DH took his ring off to have a shower and put it on the bathroom counter. I went in to get cleaned up from work like I always do... but this time I dropped my deoderant and it fell and hit his ring and the next thing I heard was a couple of clinks and down the drain went the ring (thats right, every girls worst nightmare).
I screamed "oh no" and told him his ring just fell down the drain. Being the guy he is... he said what do you want more the ring or have to replace the pipe. Of course I said the ring, because I doubted a pipe would cost even a 1/4 of what his ring did. In the end DH used one of our good kitchen knives to saw off the pipe and retrived the ring. We are both relieved we got the ring back and our bathroom now sits waiting for a plumber to come Thurs to fix it.
So please make sure you or your DH NEVER leave your rings near a drain
Re: I can't believe DH would do that
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
Oh man!! So glad you guys got it back!!
I agree...maybe put a ring box or a container of some sort near places he tends to take it off.
Its a terrible habit to keep taking rings off but this definitely helps you keep tabs on them. I think my poor husband nearly had a heart attack today when I couldn't find my wedding band at the beach today because I forgot I had put it in my sundress pocket while I put suntan lotion on...

Everyone welcome.
Oh man! I would have flipped out!! Can I ask - why exactly does your DH take off his ring? Are there diamonds in it or something that he's worried about? Just curious!! I'd be yelling at DH to NEVER take the thing off anymore!! haha
If he still wants to take it off, a ring box is a great idea. Maybe have one on his dresser that he always uses - or if he needs one in the bathroom, put one with a lid in there for him. That way, if for whatever reason, it happens to get knocked over, the ring won't fall out.
Glad your DH has his ring back!!
