Random Vent.... Join the venting if you need

Yep, starting early today. I've been up since about 2:30am because of coughing fits. So I'm all wound up and can't sleep anymore. It was a long weekend and we didn't do much, Friday started out with SS being PO'ed at Dh b/c he couldn't buy a lawn mowers off craigslist. We already have an electric one plus 2 other is pieces the SS has picked up and the fact that we are MOVING. Saturday got a little bit better but then, well see next paragraph. Sunday was kinda blah and Monday was HOT and DH doesn't do well with the drastic weather change.

SS's "other parents/family" found him on FB and started trying to make plans with him to do things and try to bypass us, his parents, oh and they blocked DH & myself so we can't "see them". So that set me off which set DH off. We have custody but they always try and side step us when making plans. DH isn't comfortable with SS being over there and the last time SS saw them it was the Grandmother, who agreed to our terms of afternoon only and only her not the whole family. In the past SS's 2 Aunts have stopped by unannounced on a Sunday night wanting to see him. When we spoke to a psychologist last year he suggest that limited, very limited contact with that side of the family. I don't think I would have such a bad reaction to them if they didn't 1.) Try to ignore DH like he doesn't exist and isn't the father. 2.) Such a bad influence in life in general. Many the the problems SS has to this day are because of the way he was raised from them. 3.) They don't live in a great area, Burton Heights, my Dad keeps on eye on their street and knows what goes on. I guess what makes it worse it that they don't seem to even realize anything and won't or maybe can't do anything to improve themselves. SS youngest Aunt maybe the best hope for change now that she cleaned things up a bit and is in school but has 4 kids under 5 or 6, and isn't married.  UGH!! I hate this stuff!!

Sorry for the vent, but I have no one else to vent to. :(

Someone get me out of this funk! I mean seriously, SS being a teenager, losing the house, going through bankruptcy, not sure where we are going to live next, find a new school for SS, starting a business, having only 1 car, how am I not drinking more or sitting in the corner rocking myself. Can Calgon really take me away??!!

  • Aw!  Hugs.  That is so much to deal with.  Just know that you have DH to help you get through this and you're not alone.  We are here to listen so vent away whenever you feel the need.  Would taking a 30 minute walk each day or some form of exercise outdoors help a little with the stress?  I know it does for me.

I'm sorry Deeder.  I hope you find an outlet for your stress.  Stuff like that is no fun :-(

My vent is that our central air isn't working right now.  It's not super surprising since it's 30 years old, but I was hoping it would make it one more year.  We don't really have the money on hand to replace it right now (well we do, but I'd rather save that money for whatever insurance doesn't cover for labor and delivery).  I'm already preparing to sell my car (we could easily make a few thousand on it) even though I really don't want to.  Nick is hoping that we can have someone recharge the unit and have it work again.  It would be awesome if that worked again, but I'm not optimistic.

  • I'm sorry too Deeder.

My vent.  Dear a-hole that passes me on bridge every morning who does 50mph.  You are a jerk and there needs to be a cop who nails you for speeding.

  • Aww, I'm sorry you are dealing with all of that right now.  It seems like way too much to be going on all at once.  Hopefully you will find a great deal of stress is relieved when you move and get settled in.
  • Thanks girls! I feel a bit better just getting it out so you girls help a bunch.
  • Sorry, Deeder.  Hope you're having a better day today.
