Rave - Charlottesville Weekend (and Wine Tour)
DH and I spent the long weekend in and about Charlottesville. We had an amazing time. FIrst of all, thank you ladies for the great recommendations. We took many of them.
Saturday we had a wine tour through Arcady Vineyards. THey picked us up at our hotel along with one other couple (4 people are the max) and took us to 4 wineries. The cost ($145 p/p) covered all the tasting fees and they gave us a wonderful cheese, fruit, and chocolate platter at one of the stops.
That night we went to the downtown pedestrian mall and had dinner at Rapture (just meh) and then we walked at got dessert at The Flat - a creperie! OMG that was delish! I had nutella and green apple and DH had a crepe suzette.
Next day we did Monticello, Carters Mountain Orchard (best homemade donuts EVER) and Michie Tavern. Then, after a little rest, we had dinner at Boars Head Inn (Old Mill Room). That was one of the best meals we have ever had.
Monday we had breakfast at Blue Moon Diner (RAVE!!!! - the corned beef hash was awesome) and then we went to Ash Land (James Monroe's home). The only disappointment was that the chocolatier was closed on Monday!
I highly recommend it as a nice little getaway!

Charlottesville is awesome! I went to UVA and DH and I like to go back when we can.
The last time I was in town was for our 1st wedding anniversary and we had an amazing weekend.
