How is everyone today? It's supposed to be stupidly hot here today. 40?C w/ the humidity (that's 104?F). Hopefully it cools down a bunch by the time we've got baseball.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of our trip into Toronto to see the Lion King this weekend. I HATE leaving things to the last minute like this, but Derek just doesn't seem bothered by it, so he takes his time getting the answers I need. Sadly it just means we end up spending more money. Whatever.

Good Morning! I am trying to stay as still as possible...it is supposed to go up to 94 degrees today. Heat + non-A/C school + Middle School Students = pure hell. I am testing all day, so at least I don't have to travel around the school.
Like you raynes, I have a softball game tonight and am hoping it cools down a little. The game is at 9:15, so I am thinking it will not be too, too bad.

The long weekend was much needed, but Preston was crazy fussy all weekend. The heat is horrible and I hate summer time in Mississippi! I am going to attempt to hold my eyes open all day and make it through the day. DH kept me up way to late last night and tonight he will pay. I think I will go to bed as soon as the kids do.

My mini vacation wiped me out between cleaning out our basement, and then the yard sale over the weekend. But hey at least we got rid of a lot of stuff.
The weather has been hot here as well, but I will not complain since I didn't get to enjoy any of my summer last year. Brought the boys out on many walks, and DH started working the night shift Sunday night.
Lastnight some stupid neighbors were out partying at their house until about 1:00 a.m. I almost went psycho on them when I hear them in my back yard (the wooded area) looking for wood. This is mean of me, but I giggled to myself when I heard one of them say that they almost fell down an open well. (mind you it is only 5 ft deep, barried in the woods, and we are planning on filling it this year). All I could think of is that it would serve him right. They kept moving their flash lights and they would end up in my room. I was NOT a happy camper.
Well since I was off, I have a lot of work to catch up on. Miss you ladies and have a great day!

My mouth is still numb from a dentists appointment this morning, which made eating lunch a bit of a challenge. And I hate talking to any coworkers as my mouth and smile are so lopsided they just laugh at me. Oh well, at least it should be back to normal in time for a big meeting this afternoon.
I'm hoping to get a workout in this evening, but I also have to stop at the grocery store to get the salmon for dinner so not sure I'll have time.

Morning, all! It's hot over here, too--high of 94. Yesterday was about the same. It's not even summer yet and we've already had a few days like this. If this keeps up, along with power losses like last summer, I think I might cry. I hate summer in D.C.
We spent yesterday trying to stay cool. H has this thing about not wanting to turn on the A/C in May, but I put my foot down--it went on this morning so that the apartment's cool by the time we get home. We both had trouble getting to sleep last night, so I think it was easier for him to see reason.
Today I'm hoping for an offer letter to finally come in and brighten my day. Other than that, just keeping busy for an upcoming event that I'm probably not going to work anyway.
Good morning! I'm back from my long weekend. Overall it was great. The race was awesome. I took a friend of mine to the race with me. She is from Pittsburg and moved here shortly before starting the MBA program. We graduated a year ago and now she is hoping to move back out east. In the meantime she is trying to get in as many mid-west experiences as possible. She enjoyed the race so that made the entire weekend even better. We got home Sunday and my mom crashed at my house rather than driving the rest of the way home since we were exhausted.
Yesterday we did a few things around town and then I did a ton of laundry. The only downside of the weekend was that I was still exhausted last night. I went to bed early, but Kyle tossed and turned for several hours. Then I woke up an hour before my alarm with a stiff neck and couldn't fall back asleep. I'm still battling the stiff neck and am now self-medicating with painkillers and caffeine. Is it bad that I'm counting down until 5:00 already? Oh and it is supposed to be hot here as well. 93 I think. I doubt I'll leave the office much, so I'll just have the a/c cranking in the office today.

I have my dress rehearsal for my Peace Tree club's fusion dance performance tomorrow. I have 14 students putting on a workshop for approximately 500 students - they'll be teaching them a dance and going from there. It's going to be very cool, I think. It's supposed to be slightly cooler tomorrow and, as I'll be spending the day outside, I'm praying for less humidity.

Nothing new ladies, but I just wanted to say that I am excited for only 2 more sleeps until this balloon in my ute comes out and I can celebrate my birthday in royal fashion.

Good morning! I had a four day weekend and enjoyed every second of it! I got a ton of yard work done including planting my garden and some flowers. I can't wait for fresh produce from my own backyard.
Today I'll be catching up on the stacks of work piled on my desk. It's supposed to be 80 degrees here today so I think I'll take my workout outside this evening. Have a great day ladies!
We're looking at 86 today, but our weathermen suck, and it should actually top out in the 90s. I don't think they've been right once this year. I agree that without the humidity, I might be alright. Mosquito season is also starting up strong this year. I got attacked yesterday, and normally it's just a night time problem. I'm allergic, so it's no fun at all. I now have golf ball sized lumps all over my legs. bleh.
We finally got our walls painted and the ceiling fan up in the baby's room. I apparently picked a very green color. Oops! It didn't seem that bad on the paint swatch. Oh well. It's fun. Flooring should be going in all week. We just need the table saw from my FIL and some better motivation. I'd love to move furniture in this weekend.
OB appointment tomorrow, and hopefully I can find out why walking is becoming so painful right now. Doesn't help weight gain when you can't move around well.

It's funny you say that about the weather guys, I've been finding that they're sucking around here lately too. Our local news radio station has a weather guarantee in that they give out cash if the high temp of the day is off by more than 3 degrees in either direction (or else the jackpot goes up), and it seems to me like they've been doling out a lot of cash lately. I wonder if this year's weather patterns are just getting really unpredictable.
Anyway, I'm around today. Just realizing how much work I need to get done before I go. Ugh. I am already mentally checked out.

Wow! I can't believe the heat and humidity. It's 86 here already. I stupidly tried to get a 10miler in this morning. It's 70% humidity and it was about 80* when I started. I managed a pathetic 10km and I walked twice. I wore my fuel belt and went through 500ml gatorade and 500ml water and it still wasn't enough. Boo.
Today I work 12-8 so I'm just getting ready to go in.
Oh, and I'm eating soup right now. I'm on fire and I'm eating soup.

Kari, the picture of the guy is nuts. People never do that at Wrigley. Is it a common occurrence in Seattle? And happy belated bday.
This weekend was pretty good. Yesterday, B and I went out to dinner with SIL, BIL and our 2 nephews at their country club. It was really nice to see them all. Our older nephew is finally starting to behave a bit better, but I'm a bit worried about him being a bit antisocial. There were tons of kids his age running around, and he just played by himself.
Not too much is on the agenda for me today. Just work.
B is prepping for a big interview tomorrow, so if you guys have vibes to spare, I'd appreciate it. Last time I asked was right before he had his big certification exam, and he passed.

I am still recovering from my weekend. Dh and I took a road trip to Savannah. It was really great to get away. We rented a scooter and drove it all over town. We also ducked in some pubs and watched the football game, FCB (barcelona) beat Manchester United. It was great to cheer them on.
