Anyone else have a little bit of holiday weekend hangover?
The little bit of time off made me realize again how much I'd loooooove to go on vacation, or at least have something in the works (as if I wasn't already very aware of this fact).
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

How's the housing search?
Meh. We have a Top 4 to consider, but they all need some work to be the way we want. But we have an apt through August so we're not going to rush into anything.

The apartment sounds like a great solution. I'm sure more stuff will be coming on the market as we head into the summer. Good luck with the move!
I've finding it very hard to be motivated to do any work today. I had an extra long weekend since I took Friday off - it was sooo nice!!
DH ended up taking me to Cooperstown, NY for the weekend. We had a lot of fun!
We just got back from our babymoon to Hilton Head... it was really nice to get away. It was first trip away without family involved since our honeymoon almost 3 years ago. All other trips have included our families. I don't have any days off until the baby comes most likely.
Cooperstown is so fun! We went a few years ago and had a blast.
It was a bit of a reality check to come back to work today (I'd been off since lunch time on Friday), but it's been OK so far. We had a fun weekend on the Cape and even got home early yesterday and got some work done around the house.
I just want it to be Thursday because our countertops are being installed!!
Hello! The weekend was lovely! A lot of food, a lot of drink, and 9 loads of laundry. Hope everyone else had a great long weekend!
Ugh, today is my first day back to work after a week off, and I am SO not in work-mode. I can't seem to focus on anything, and I've only just made it through all of my emails. BOOO!
The good news, though, is that I'm only here today and then a half-day tomorrow. My colleague and I fly to DC for an alumni reception tomorrow afternoon, (which is going to suck, btw- we are hosting it to recruit for a specific program, but 90% of the people coming aren't at all related to the field, sigh). However, I'm staying at a good friend's house tomorrow night, and I'm off on Friday. So she and I are going to grab breakfast that morning and hang out for a bit. She couldn't get the full day off, though, so I've got a 1230 flight home, and since it's the shuttle,I might be able to hop an earlier flight if we finish early.
(You gotta love trips that are for less than 24 hours, sigh.)
I've done Boston to San Francisco in one day, literally flying in for just one meeting and then flying back. Fun...not.
Your work has been crazy lately! I hope you have fun in D.C. for the short time you're there and that it isn't too hot there yet!
Holy crap! That's insane. I'm going to stop complaining now about a DC trip.
