S/O weird things after pregnancy
the last post about eczema starting after pregnancy got me thinking. anything change for you after pregnancy?
Re: S/O weird things after pregnancy
My first symptom of being pregnant was not being able to eat cocktail shrimp. I actually had my father taste one because I thought they were bad.
Ironically, since being pregnant, I'm developing an intolerance to shrimp - i feel like my inside are being ripped to shreds about an hour after I eat it.

Like I metioned in pp, sudden eczema.
Also, my skin is amazingly clear and very low maintenance. I used to get breakouts all the time before my pregnancy, and I needed to use proactive or other rediculous skin care regimens.I think since I've given birth I've only had about 5 zits in the past 15 months and my skin tone is more even. No more red blotchiness.
But....AF has been a nightmare since I've given birth. Really heavy flow and horrble PMS, which wasn't the case beforehand, even after I stopped taking the pill.
Jennynel- I also had really bad knees after giving birth, but as time went on they got better. I could hardly get up from a sitting position too. I felt like a 90 year old. I think it was due to all the extra weight my body was carrying and my body needing to adjust to it all. I gained 65 pounds during my pregnancy.
Sudden eczema for me too! It started about two months ago and I couldn't get rid of it until I visited a pharmacy in Greece and they gave be a miracle cream. Kicking myself that I didn't go back and buy a few more tubes before we left.
Also, my acne is far worse that it was pre-pregnancy. Like, I'm a hormonal 15 year old again. Frig.

My hair is much thinner and frizzier. I've also lost a lot of the curl but just on one side.
My boobs are ridiculous, but that's a given I suppose.
My periods need to fuuck off because they are AWFUL. In all fairness, I am perimenopausal so that could also be a contributing factor.
Weird things that are good:
I did not get any stretch marks on my belly. I got a few on my ass and thighs but only 1 on either side of my body. They almost look like seams. Even then, they're very faint so they don't bother me at all.
Some of you know the whole story but I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease years ago and was heavily medicated for it for a very long time. My drs were pretty sure that I'd never be able to carry a pregnancy, let alone to term. Did that, had a healthy baby and nearly 6 years later, have not needed to be medicated since having her. It seems as though she shocked my body into normalcy.
Right now I'm pumping so AF does not exist right now.
I do have eczema which is doing a number to my skin.
And I have all the lovely stretch marks on my stomach.. oh joy. So now even though I'm totally over weight and look like a map on my belly H still thinks I should wear some bikini like I'm a victoria's has no secrets model..
