I have been going back and forth all weekend trying to decide if I want the droid incredible 2 or the iphone. I could see myself using a ton of fitness apps, apps for work, accessing my multiple gmail accounts, my outlook calendar and e-mail at work. I am torn, I like the iphone because it has a better battery life and seems more indestructable but I think a droid would be nice because DH had one already and can recommend apps etc, plus I like how most of his contacts have pictures from gmail, facebook etc, don't know if the iphone does that.
Anyone have any suggestions or reasons to get one over the other? Can you access and post on the nest with both of them?
Re: iphone verse droid
this debate will go on until the end of time. my experience to droids is minimal because i love my iphone and will just be upgrading to the next model when it's time. i've only owned macs so i find the iphone to be easy and intuitive. i have dropped my iphone on pavement more than once, my case and screen protector got a little banged up but my phone was fine. i also use my phone instead of my ipod now.
i don't use my phone to post to the nest but i know some of the nesties with iphones do.

I'm a Droid fan. We got ours with our Verizon upgrade a few months ago. That ("new every 2") plus a rebate meant our phones were free. That beat iPhone hands down for us.
I would start from the bottom and work up to what you really want/need. If there is no good reason to get the more expensive one, I'd pick the other.
Knowing about apps isn't a good reason, in my opinion. There is a lot of overlap, plus no dirth of info about iPhone or Droid apps online.
I can post on the Nest with a little bit of a struggle.
I do like the Google integration with the Droid. Probably my fav feature.
I would go to a verizon store and check them both out and talk to one of the sales people.
I use a droid, and like Julie - I love the google integration.
I can post on the nest, I just have to disable java. You can use the "html" button instead, but it doesn't always work for me. Or maybe i'm an idiot... which is completely possible.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Oh and I realize my pros and cons are totally little small things, I just can't find many differences between the two. I made the worst phone selection last time so I think I am just worried about making a mistake again.
I also like the google integration with my Droid, BUT. I really wish I could load my music onto it, so I could just have one device (instead of carrying around my old iPod).
Also, recently I've been getting a message that my "application data is low" and I had to delete some apps (basically Google Earth was taking up a lot of memory). Kind of annoying.

I wouldn't get an iPhone with Verizon, they're not the same as the Sprint phones. You can't talk on the phone and access apps/internet/navigation at the same time, which I do often with my Droid.
