QOTD #2

Looks like a bunch of us saw a movie over the weekend.

What is the last movie you saw and did you like it?

Re: QOTD #2

  • Hangover 2 and Bridesmaids.  Hangover 2 DH and I both liked (it wasn't as good as the first IMO).  Bridesmaids was awful.
  • DH and I saw Hangover Part 2 yesterday.  I loved it!  It's worth seeing, and when it comes out to DVD, we'll buy it.

  • We saw Bridesmaids and we thought it was funny.  Awkward funny, but funny.

  • We watched The King's Speech over the weekend and while I really enjoyed it, DH lost interest about 10 minutes in.

  • Hangover 2 at the movies.  Funny, good for a laugh for sure.  A little too much male and female parts for my liking though.

I fell asleep during the Kings Speech at home this weekend.  Seemed good, just a little too slow moving for me.

  • Well, we finally watched Couple Retreat and Grown-ups this weekend lol.  I know, I know, old movies, but we're not really movie people.  I can't even tell you the last time I saw a movie at a theater.
  • I watched some crap on Netflix while DH was gone....

Whitney Cummings (stand up)-  Funny, but not hilarious

    Easy A - Loved it

When in Rome- typical chick flick, meh

Bounty Hunter- pretty dumb with funny moments

  • I watched get him to the greek this weekend and I thought it was so funny...

Has anyone seen the new Pirates of the Caribbean? My IL's loved it but they love everything so I wanted to see what real people thought, ha!

  • The King's Speech -- I liked it.

Crazy Heart -- eh, not bad, not great.

Harry Potter 7 (part 1) -- SO good!  I'm really glad that I didn't re-read the books prior to seeing it, because for the first time, I was able to truly enjoy it instead of focusing on all the stuff they cut out.

Agreed. I liked Hangover 2 but not as much as the first one.

I also started watching the latest Harry Potter movie so far so good.

DH watched this on the plane and was laughing so hard that people were staring and asking me what he was watching.

If you say the name Jeffrey around him, he dies laughing.  We both really liked it too!  It's nice to know we aren't the only ones, everyone else hates that movie.

  • The last movie I saw was Something Borrowed.  I really liked it.  I have the book, but haven't read it yet.  Hopefully I'll find time to do that soon.

  • We got The Tourist through Netflix.  It was ok.  Kinda uneventful at the end though.

  • Ok I'm such a wuss when it comes to any type of scary movies. Let's just say I'm such a Disney person! lol...

Well we rented last night "I am number four" and I started watching the first part of it and I couldn't watch it! lol... Plus I'm not much for alien movies.

I know feel free to mock away! lol...

  • Hangover 2. And about 20 minutes into it, I remembered I didn't really like (or see because I fell asleep) the first one. It hold true that I didn't care for this one either.

*I should add that it was totally worth it for the ICEE and pretzel bites with a load of processed cheese Big Smile

We saw The Hangover II on Sunday.  It was pretty funny, but not as good as the first one IMO.  Probably because my expectations were pretty high.
