Trader Joe's sunscreen?

has anyone used it?  They have a spray, and after an incident where Will squeezed half a tube of CA Baby on his pants and the stairs, I'm interested in a spray for at least partial use...

  • Every mom has a different tolerance for what they'll put on your kid. I'll give you the data and that will help you decide what works for your family.  :)

In comparing it with some of the other sprays, it tests lower (which is good!) in "nasties," especially reproductive issues. Almost all of the sprays rank a 7. It just depends on what risks you're most interested in. I look for cancer and reproductive risks, but others might be interested in others.

  • We bought it for use on the girls last week. Haven't had to use it yet b/c we still had some others left, but I wasn't worried about it.  I have to admit though, I am tough to scare this area.  Perhaps I am too relaxed b/c there is just no history of allergies, cancer, reproductive issues, etc. at all in either adam or my families.  I think if you are more prone to such things you probably take any sort of risk much more seriously.

    Angie, what do you use?

We're using Coppertone Water Babies Spray right now and I went with that because it was low in the cancer area and it provides great protection. But, it still ranks a 7.

  • We use cali baby cream block, thinkbaby, or earth's best. I'm not opposed to trying out the TJ's spray though. Others that have been recommended are TruKids and Goddess Garden. Supposedly the TruKids smells like oranges.
