Downtown dinner and dancing recs?
DH and I have birthdays the day after each other. It's coming up in a few weeks and I wanted to organize dinner downtown with some friends so it would be easy to hit the town for some dancing. Any recs? I would love something in the second street area, but I'm not thrilled with Malaga and I thought I heard La Condesa was pretty pricey (I hate to ask our friends to do that.) Any ideas?

Imperia at 4th and Colorado is a nice place with asian fusion food and great cocktails. You can share everything family style, which would keep it fairly reasonable.
Then, if you go up the street to Six Lounge, they have a nice rooftop deck with a DJ (sometimes live music).
I've also heard good things about Second Bar & Congress (at 2nd and Congress). It has a fun atmosphere. The other places on the west side of 2nd are more lunchtime stops rather than dinner. Lambert's is good too (but expensive) if you want fancy bbq.
