What will sell well at a bake sale?

I'm donating some baked goods to a book and bake sale we're having for employees at work.

Baked goods need to be individually packaged, meaning whole cakes will be sold as whole cakes and if you want to sell cupcakes, they need to be individually packaged (or packaged and sold in twos or fours or whatever). And it has be easily portable and ok without refrigeration.

What do you think would make people want to say, "wow, I want to eat that?"

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • A cake pop bouquet! Or maybe a pie? A dozen cookies? a bread pudding or coffee cake? They all sound good to me!

  • A tray of brownies. Definitely agree with cake pops too but that will be more time consuming for you.
  • Mini pies, maybe. We have a mini pie booth at the farmer's market and they always seem to go well. Brownies or Snickerdoodles. Mmmm...snickerdoodles. Or GIANT  chocolate chip cookies. Cupcakes.

  • I like the mini-pie idea! Or lemon bars.

  • I think your basic brownie or chocolate chip cookie are always safe bets.  And I like the giant cookie idea :)
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I agree with cookies and brownies.

Or you can do bars-strawberry, blackberry or lemon.

I was going to say cinnamon rolls but those can be time consuming as well.

  • Cookies.  I use the Quaker Vanishing Oatmeal Cookie recipe and sub milk chocolate chips or white chocolate chips and cranraisins for the raisins
  • I have found that the non-sweet stuff sells really fast. Homemade breads etc.

Really? That's interesting. I wonder why.

Maybe I just hang out with a bunch of sugar addicts Stick out tongue but most people I know would take a brownie or a cookie over bread!

I think because it is less common, it is 'healthy' and can be served with dinner or whatever. I don't know.
