dairy free, chocolate free snacks?

so between some reflux and possible thrush issue, I'm in desperate need of snacks/food ideas that don't include dairy or chocolate.  Those are my go to snacks (hello cheese and crackers with a glass of milk, with a bunch of TJ's dark chocolate almonds!).  But C and I are both suffering, so I'm willing to sacrifice the snacks.  But I need something to replace them with.  Especially something I can leave out, so I can have it for middle of the night snacks, or have it on the counter to grab as I'm chasing a toddler.  Limited amounts of dairy would be ok-like a small amount as an ingredient.

Sadness abounding at my house, as a huge container of leftover homemade ice cream (chocolate) is calling my name...

Re: dairy free, chocolate free snacks?

  • Cookies, granola bars, premade pb&j sammys in a large zippered baggie, fruit, veggies, peanutbutter on crackers...

  • I'm realizing most of my easy snacks contain one of those two items.  How about almonds, they have lots of good protein and are good to grab a handful at a time. Raisins are good too.

  • What about Chex mix?  Popcorn?  Crackers?

  • I love mixing almonds w/ crasins.
