1st. Birthday Cake Recommendation
Hi Everyone,
My son will be turning one soon and I need to order his birthday cake. I wanted to do a special cake for his 1st birthday and was wondering if people have any suggestions. Where have people ordered specialty cakes from? I looked at Lakes Cakes, but I am not sure if I want to go with them. Any other suggestions in the Oakland/Washtenaw area.

Just Baked has a location in AA and I ordered my DH's 30th birthday cake from them. It was very expensive but it turned out amazing and delicious!!

Thanks. Bella is a 2011 Ford Mustang. He got it just a few days before his 30th birthday last year and is still head over heels in love with her. His nickname is Ferg lol.
I used Lakes Cakes for my wedding cupcakes and grooms cake and they were awesome! So many different flavors to choose from and she is really talented. The grooms cake came out really cute!
Thank you guys for the recommendations. I might have to check out the South Lyon bakery, I am actually in that area. I was originally considering Lakes cakes and Patisserie Parmentier in Novi. Has anyone used Patisserie Parmentier?
And I am thinking white cake with raspberry filling....as much as I like chocolate for some reason chocolate cake does not sound as good.
