Re: WTF?
I've gotta admit this to somebody - my DH is driving me bonkers. I've noticed that he's been withdrawing lately and I couldn't really identify why. Last night we got into a pretty heated argument that left me outside on the steps having a little chat with God. After I returned back inside, we talked briefly and he mentioned he doesn't, in a nutshell, like to communicate with me. He doesn't mind talking in the superficial sense, but he's not interested in it really going beyond that. We've been reading this book together every night and he claims that he's finding it frustrating to have to talk every night and answer the question presented to him. In my opinion, the questions aren't all that frightful, but I know "he's a guy" and he sees things from a different perspective than I. This has left me very disheartened, as it was the one thing I really looked forward to every night with him. We share TV time and guitar time which are both his preferences - no one sees me peacing out on those times because I don't like to watch TV or because I don't like to play guitar. I share it with him and suscept myself to it because he likes to do it. I have one thing...one...and that's reading books together and sharing conversation - not for hours on end but, like, 10 minutes...WhyTF is that so difficult to give back to me?!
Woah - verbal vomited all over our WTF page today. I never do that!

WTF that job I interviewed for 100 years ago finally posted on their website 2 new attorneys. Obviously I knew by now that I didn't get it (and am actually pretty sure that was a blessing in disguise) but I find it horribly rude that they called to tell me that I would be notified either way, and then they didn't bother to notify.
@Jeni -- I can see how that would be super frustrating that he isn't communicating, but maybe it's just a little bit of overload for him? Maybe he would be open to doing this a couple of times a week rather than every night. Does he work full-time, or is his job really stressful? I know there are nights when my DH tells me he literally just cannot engage in a conversation because his job can be exhausting and stressful. If he did this every day I might kill him, but when DH's job is more stressful/demanding/unenjoyable than yours (as is so in my household) I feel like you have to be a little flexible.
WTF I have a headache....stupid period...
WTF hubby please read the directions so we can get the AC in our window!!!
Rachel you make such an excellent point about his work load - I never really considered that it could be a precursor to his lack of desire to talk. He mentioned that he's okay with me still reading it everyday, but that he doesn't always have an answer to the questions - perhaps I'll just drop it down a notch and read it less often. I hope it helps - as not communicating at all is ultimately what's driven me to feel the most frustration. And I agree - me loving my job makes life a lot easier. Thank you!

Sorry Jeni - I know that has to be a tough situation. I am sorry that there doesn't seem to be that balance. I know you said that things got a little heated last night but did you voice that you like to do things with him that you enjoy? That you do things he enjoys just so you can spend time togehther? If that is falling on deaf ears at the moment I am sorry. Hopefully he will come around and realize that this is something you really enjoy.
My WTF is WTF did my company book me on a 615 am flight tomorrow to New Orleans?! The airport is an hour and 15 minutes from my house which means it doesn't look like I will be sleeping much tonight!
I didn't get called either I found out through the gossip mill (aka other ppl who work there) how hard is it to call the other 10ppl you interviewed and tell them thanks but no thanks UGH!!!! When I send a resume and don't hear back I get that (I do the same when I have hundreds of them in front of me) but I always call everyone I invite in for an interview.
@jeni I kind of agree. Last night I got home from a long day at work (a busy one) and then had to go straight to auditions for my kids summer show and sit in a hot room and listen to about 10 kids sing nice songs well and 4 kids sing nice songs that just made my headache worse (hopefully there are more boys tonight/tomorrow btw it was ALL girls last night UGH) Anyway I could hardly hold a conversation w/ DH last night. Additionally there are some nights where I much prefer a general chat as opposed to a deep chat (sometimes I'm more the boy in that respect) also sometimes its easier to have a real emotional chat when not sitting face to face (there are all kinds of studies on that) sometimes we have our better chats in the car oddly enough!
WTF I scanned pages from a book I wante to read snippets of at work on my phone but can't read them on google docs bc its so fuzzy! I spent all morning scanning for nothing.
WTF The new motion sensors are pissing me off. . . yes I joined that club as of Friday

YTF does DH's EX think that she is entitled to more time with SD than DH simply b/c she's her mother & YTF does she ALWAYS want a mile when you give her an inch!??!!? No more inches, lady! You agreed to the custody arragement issued by the court so just deal with it! Grrrrr...Snarl....Hissss....

WTF? Are any of you focusing on the Casey Anthony trial? It is crazy! I have been just having it play on YouTube while I work so that I can here it. There is one, person I guess, on You Tube that has video of all of the testimonies...I'm hooked!
