Our bedroom has textured walls similar to this (and they were not by my choosing tyvm):

I want to paint, but Chris thinks its going to be too much of a PITA so he doesnt even want to consider it. I tend to disagree, but what do I know...
So, does anyone have any experience painting textured walls, and if so, is it as much of a PITA as my husband thinks it is? Any tips or tricks to actually doing it?

Re: s/o painting
It's totally do-able. I would just recommend buying a low sheen paint (like eggshell or matte) and that will minimize the appearance of all that texture.
Buy a thicker nap roller (maybe 3/8 - 1/2 inch) and that will help get the paint into all those crevices unlike your standard nap roller that you'd use for regular drywall. Someone in the paint department should be able to help you with roller selection:)

Thanks ladies! This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, so I might just take it on by myself.
And since I have you're attention (*insert crickets chirping here*) what paint color do you think I should go with? I'm thinking white or a light grey? They're currently a beige, which can kinda be seen in this pic, though it's dark.
And I'm going to try to keep the same bedroom set, change the curtains, etc. Our furniture is a dark wood -- IKEA special!

Of those 2 colors, I'd go with the grey. Personally, I don't like white-white walls. It just reminds me of a hospital.
