Would you go?

Ok so this might be a stupid question. DH is a trainer for the company we work for. We found out today that are about to buy a company at the end of the month. DH's bosses told him he would probably need to get a passport because he might be going to London and Perth, Australia some time next year. I'm seriously thinking about going with him. All we would have to pay for is my plane ticket. Hotel would be free. The only thing that is holding me back is that I would have to entertain myself during most of the day. Would you be comfortable going to a foreign country and touring it by yourself? At night would be fine, but during day has me a little concerned.

We don't have a lot of details and don't know when this is going to happen, but I figured I probably need to get my application for a passport in pretty soon since the process (so I heard) takes quite a bit of time.

  • I would have absolutely no problem with it, especially where you are going because there would be no language barrier!

I WISH my husband got opportunities like that. Totally jealous.

  • OMG I would totally go. Apply for your passport lady!!!!
  • Uh, yeah. You should go. The big selling point is what pp said - no language barrier. I think you'll be just fine during the day.

  • Yes! In a heartbeat!

And, don't worry about the days---those two cities have tons of touristy stuff to do, and even if you get lost everyone speaks English :)

  • Australia?! Yes, please! I've been to London--you'll be fine there during the day. And like pps mentioned you won't have a language barrier to contend with. You better get going on that passport application!
  • I would absolutely go!

My mom gets to do this all the time with my dad. He travels a few times a year to places like Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland, etc and she just tags along and hangs out by herself. It makes me incredibly jealous.
