I am officially the parent of a mobile baby. He is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. He used to lay on the floor and play with his toys and gaze lovingly at the dog. Whenever he was particularly engrossed in a toy, I would lie down next to him on my computer. No more! He is a little mad man. So you'll be seeing much less of me.
Oh, and DH has finished his night classes, so I won't even be doing my (intoxicated?) evening posting. He travels a lot though, pretty much every week for the next couple of months, so I'll be around then.
Re: I've gone missing!
Hahaha that would be the life!
He went through this phase for a couple of months when he liked his alone time. He would find a toy or something and just examine it and hold it and play with it, and if I tried to butt in he would give me this blank stare like "Ma, you're a weirdo. Can't you see I'm busy?" but he would cry if he couldn't see me. So mostly I just had to sit next to him and everything was honky dory. Not good for my house but good for my Nest
Now, he's still really good at self entertaining (he's the type of kid that sometimes will wake up from his nap and play alone in his crib for 30 minutes). But now that he can move, he's self entertaining with dog toys, the brick fireplace, trying to climb up on top of things, etc.
Go, Lil'E, go!
Mine isn't on the go yet but he is just constantly in everything. Banging the table, grabbing my cell phone, my water cup, my nose, my hair, throwing toys...
I am going to never sit down again once he figures out how to move his knees and arms at the same time to crawl.
