today/future half-way GTG
Well, I won't be able to make it today. MH took the car to the dealer yesterday to have the right blinker replaced, and during the course of their "courtesy inspection" they put the brake pedal back on incorrectly, so it's going back there today. Then of course even though I made the appointment last week and told them at the time the problem and the make/model/year of the car, they didn't order the part so they couldn't fix the blinker yesterday. Just as well, though, because they are expensive. (The only reason we took it to the dealer was because it had to go there anyway for the recall checks.) Unfortunately, they also found deterioration in the rear rotors or something like that. Long story short, the car is going back to them today to have the brake pedal fixed, then it's going to our regular mechanic to look at the other stuff. This is looking to be a cool $1200 or so coming our way. Bleah.
Anyway, I'm sorry I'll miss you guys, but as for Meg's suggestion of Nashua for lunch some Wednesday, I'm in!

UGH! That's blows! Definitely take it to your regular mechanic. I hate taking my car to the dealer for a recall or what not. Last year, while I was in the hospital FIL took my car to get checked over by our mechanic, turned out to be an emissions problem that dealer could ix for free. 3 weeks later! We had to bring the truck to the hospital to take DD and stuff home and we were seriously running out of room.
As for half way, totally. Maybe we can get some other Southern ME Nesties in, think like Seabrook or something is like halfway but we can work out details. Maybe in a couple of weeks or so if everything works out with your car

I would totally be up for a "half-way" GTG too!! I could do a weekday one until July 21st, June would be awesome, since DH is still working through late June.
