eouellet *holy weather batman*
We've got tornadoes down here. Just curious what you guys got up there? Stay safe!
Re: eouellet *holy weather batman*
Yikes, are you guys ok out there Snoopy?!? Did you have to take cover? I think the storms are still about an hour away from Boston but it's looking very ominous out there. I'm trying to decide whether I should haul out of the office now and try to be in my apartment by the time the storm starts.
Neptoon, I feel bad for your friends! I'm from the midwest originally and tornados - while by no means a common occurrence in southeast Michigan - were not at all unheard of. But those big storms and especially tornados just don't really happen much in the Northeast so they are kind of a big deal here.
our downtown was beat up really bad, since it's all historic buildings and such. State of emergency all over around us. Our town specifically got hit really bad across the bridges. Thankfully, our side of the bridge just had the usual sever thunderstorm damage. The tornado pictures are crazy, though. I made it home through some really large sized hail. DH made it home after the first wave had gone through. It looks like you guys are getting the storm about a half hour after us or so. We should be in the clear in an hour or so, but they're saying no more tornadoes. Now we're just waiting for flooding and such to subside.
neptoon* That's no fun. I hope your friends are safe. I don't think Boston got too much of the damage, but definitely the storms.
It's so crazy, we got NOTHING here in Boston! I know there are still some storms out your way, so we'll see later tonight but thus far everything kind of went south of the city. It looked really scary around 5:30 but wasn't yet raining and I decided to leave work early at 6, but by the time I got home at 6:30 the sky was clearing a bit. It never even rained here at all.
The photos out in western MA are crazy! Especially those videos of the funnel cloud forming over the Connecticut River - wow! The damage looks really bad too. I'm so glad you guys are ok - I hope everything clears up soon for you.
