My hair has ruined every vacuum cleaner! I need some recs!
I need a good vacuum in the $200-$300 price range that can handle my horrible shedding habit. My hair has ruined all of our cheaper vacuums by wrapping it around the bottom brush thing. Shaving my head is not an option but a new vacuum is. Can anyone give me some good vacuum recs?

If your vac is completely beyond repair, I recommend an Oreck, but honestly, you're going to have to clean that beater bar too.
If just the brush is broken on the machine, I'd just take it into a repair shop to get it fixed. If the whole thing is busted, that's another story.

We have a Dyson Animal and it's amazing (we have dogs). Before we bought this one, I would check the bar occasionally and cut the hair out.
In our bathroom, I brush the hair up with a small brush/dustpant and toss it rather than vacuuming it.
We used to have this issue and went through 2 vacuums due to it. I bought a dyson animal used off Amazon, and I LOVE it. I really didn't want to spend the money on a new one because they are pretty expensive, but I'm really glad I did end up getting one.
We also started vacuuming more often, and I've noticed that with my long hair and two dogs that shed like crazy, that I don't have to clean the bottom of the vacuum out nearly as much.
