Hey! What's everyone been up to?
Summer classes are in full swing. Classes are good, but Im in step aerobics and OMG I'm now fully aware of how out of shape I really am. Sad day.
Did everyone have a good memorial day?
Any new exciting news?
This board is dead. What's up with that?
Re: Hello?? *Echooo*
Hey
I check-in a few times a day. But there never seems to be too much going on.
Nothing new with me. We just stayed at home and relaxed for Memorial Day.
Hey, How are classes going?
I must say this board is quite dead....
I miss when it was lively. However, I am also to blame. Work has been crazy busy. Plus, it's time to buckle down and start my thesis which means little, to no, time for me.
Have fun in your aerobics class. That sounds like a blast!
I usually check in at least once a day. We are trying to buy a house (we offered Saturday, they countered today, we are countering in the am). It's a short sale though so it hasn't even went to the bank approval part yet. The sellers are being kind of stupid (for lack of a better word) at this point.
I have 7 more days of school left! Woot!

I think it's official.. the board is dead.
Over Memorial Day, DH and I went camping with some friends. I was little hesitant at first because I'm not really a camping type person, but I had a great time and would totally do it again.
Not much exciting news though. I'm ready for weekend.
Sounds like everyone is pretty busy
Good busy though
Classes are fine. I have 8am and 10am classes for my major. I'm also taking step aerobics and I swear the professor wants me to collapse. Thankfully that class is only Pass/Fail.
I skipped today though as I wasn't feeling too well. Even if you show up, if you aren't able to participate, you're counted as absent sooo I just stayed in my main building to do some work. Now I'm just waiting for DH to get here. We've been carpooling for two weeks now. . it's um. . interesting lol. Saves money and gas though
)
Edit: My awesome news though : I finally got a new car!! Her name is Izzy and she's a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring. Chili Pepper Red. . Loveeee.
)
Hi, glad to hear everyone is well.
Ncsu, I got a new car too! Mine is a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I loveeee mine too!
Also, we've decided to move back to NC. We're pretty miserable here. There is a laundry list of reasons why. Moving to CO is something we've always wanted to do, so we're not sorry we came. If we hadn't we'd always wonder and now we know.
Aww. Well, NC will be glad to have ya back! DH had been looking at jobs in CO so it's a possibility on our list. . but that's assuming he were to take something there. What's it like? Is it the location you're not happy with?
Congrats on the new cars.
Sorry to hear CO is not working out shoe. Or course we would love to have you back in NC.
Thanks, curbside.
It's definitely the location. We're in Summit County in the middle of all the ski resorts. There is just something about the people here. The most welcoming people we've met are from New Jersey originally. Also, there aren't a lot/any people our age and in our same social situation. People are either really young and want to spend every night at the bar or they're quite a bit older with school age children. We haven't been able to find any friends, couples or otherwise.
Also, it's very, very expensive. It feels like we've been bleeding money since we got here, but that isn't the norm for the state. Denver and Colorado Springs have much more reasonable COL.
I don't want to discourage you. I think in different circumstances, and in a different part of the state, we would have been happy. Like I said, there is a laundry list of reasons why we decided to move back east. For a long time we were thinking of relocating to Colorado Springs & I still think we could be happy there for a time, but ultimately we knew we wanted to end up back in the south and all the pieces seem to be falling into place for us to go ahead and move back now rather than later.
That was kind of a long winded answer. Where is he looking for jobs? I can tell you what I know (if anything) about a specific area/town.
