I have girlfriends coming in to GR this weekend. Can you help me with suggestions on what to do with?
Re: What's to do in GR?
Festival! Downtown will be hopping this weekend. Great music, great food, great art. http://www.festivalgr.org/
Other ideas:
Catch a comedy show at The Bob.
Go to a Whitecaps game.
Visit Meijer Gardens.
Head toward the lake and visit Grand Haven or hike out to Rosy Mound.
No matter what you're interested in, you should be able to find a lot to do this weekend. There are 2 festivals going on downtown, and a whole lot more. Check the calendar here:

We dont have anything specific that they want to do they just want to see what the city has to offer.
Thanks for the suggestions so far
There's the Bodies exhibit at the public museum right now if that's something you're interested in.
There are a ton of good restaurants. Electric Cheetah, San Chez, Blue Water Grill and Green Well are a few of my favorites.
There are also a lot of fun bars. It's hard to recommend one if I don't know what you're looking for, but if you walk down Ionia from Fulton there are at least 4 or 5 you could check out.
And if you're up for driving 1/2 an hour or so I would check out the beach in Grand Haven or Muskegon.
Festival is definitely my top suggestion. I specifically recommend the band Common Shiner, on the Calder stage on Sunday, and getting the nimbupani drink from whichever booth the Krishnas are at this year.
After that, the Whitecaps are in town Thursday-Sunday.
Check out Erb Thai for a delicious (and cheap!) dinner, Uncle Cheetah's Soup Shop for fantastic homemade ice cream treats and slushes, and The Electric Cheetah for a great Sunday brunch (until 3 p.m.)
