Going to be a Debbie Downer for a second
I just found out that a friend of mine that I acted with at GR Civic Theatre passed away suddenly last night. He was a very kind man, who really CARED about people. I have not seen him in months, since I have taken a break from theater, but think about him often and stay a bit connected through FB. He was around the age of my dad and it just makes me sad not only for the loss of my friend, but also the realization that you never know when you might lose someone. Makes me want to drive to my dad's work and give him a hug! Sorry, I just needed to share with someone! Everyone else I can tell is at work. Thanks for listening.
Re: Going to be a Debbie Downer for a second
I'm so sorry about the passing of your friend. You're right, you just never know when something might happen to someone you love.
On a brighter note, that siggy pic of your DS is adorable!
Thanks!
I am guessing your mom does know him. He has done a lot of shows with a variety of different theaters. His name was Joe LaChappelle if you were wanting to pass along the news.
OMG! Yes! I just met him a month or so ago.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry again for your loss and hope you can find peace soon.
Glad you got a chance to meet him! Good guy. Can I ask who your mom is? I totally understand if you don't want to answer...as I realize people like to stay under the radar on forums. But I was just curious.:)
Yay!! That is so awesome that you are exposing them to theater so young! I plan to do the same. Love that!!!
Well, I'm confident you know her. Sorry if that sounds stalker-ish, but I have an odd ability to remember names and I recognized your screen name right away. To stay under the radar, Diet, she was your elder self. (And you were fantastic in that, by the way!)
