I have been working on this for about a month now. I'm just curious what everyone else has in theirs. Want to make sure I'm not missing anything. TIA!
These are the sections/contents I currently have (just to share):
Home: You Are Here (home info w/ directions), emergency phone numbers, emergency packing checklist, hurricane preparedness guide (I live in South LA); planning on taking an inventory of all our 'big' things we have in the house and taking pictures of each, keeping any warranty info with this.
Family: Our personal info (allergies, med info, copies of ins cards, etc), Pet info (Names, birthdates, vet info, feeding schedule, shot record, etc)
Cleaning: Daily/Weekly cleaning sch, spring/fall cleaning checklists, cleaning tips/tricks
Meals: weekly meal planner, master grocery list, price list (for when things go on 'sale'), take-out menus and coupons
Planning: Important dates, school calendar, party planning
Money: currently empty but planning on having a list of all of our accts and contact info, logins, etc...
Misc: currently empty
Garden: currently only has the seed packets I recently planted and dates they were planted
*I know some people keep their calendar in this, but I prefer to have my own master calendar (that is with me at all times). I simply print out a monthly calender with all events and keep if on my refrigerator. I also have a separate (13 pocket) folder that I use for any ideas I get, and save magazine clippings and what not in that.
Re: Home Management Binder
A fantastic blogger/ nestie did a series of blog post on her organizer. (When I started doing research on how to do my binder I found her blog.) Something she has that you didn't was a section for her vehicles. Here's her posts about her household binder:

She also has templates!
Majorwife - I am a newly devoted fan. LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog!! And your checklists/templates! LOVE!! Would you mind telling me what program you use to make your lists/checklists? I'm so inspired...
You are such a sweetheart! THANK YOU! YGM!
How does one go about converting to PDF? That is one of my summer to-do's.
I have a section for projects I''d like to complete and break the down into steps. One of those projects is actually building my evacuation kit so it's ready to throw in the car and go! (Check out "The Hurricane Handbook" it's an awesome guide for what to pack, insure, and includes advice on pet care and how to handle the situation with children)
There's also a section for fitness goals/articles I like and an "inspiration" tab where I stick design photos I love
Or just download the CutePDF. It's safe software. We use it at work for those that just need the print-to-PDF capabilities.
I don't have full account numbers. I have the last four. And I don't have full logins/passwords. Just a couple of letters/numbers to jog my memory. I also don't take the binder with me. It stays at home. Unless in the event of an emergency and we evacuate, then it comes with. But in that case, I have everything in one place and I am not scrambling to get important stuff together.
I agree. There are plenty more intriguing things in my home. Plus, my binder is in my cookbook cabinet. lol
