Thankful Thursday (in DCtoLowCountry's honor)
1. College reunion weekend, and a chance to catch up with old friends. And likely drink too much.
2. It is gorgeous outside!
3. Getting a pedi tonight in prep for reunion. Bc women look at each other's toes, you know they do.
4. Not thankful for -- the woman who works down the hall from me, who is very nice, but OMG she never shuts up. She doesn't undertand the social graces of when a conversation is over (when you have to turn your chair and start typing again) and she keeps.on.talkiing. and she's just repeating herself. It's harmless but OH SO annoying.

I work with what-must-be-her-male-counterpart
have fun at the reunion!
1. Plan on having fun seeing a band we like at Herndonfest tonight - thankful for the nice weather and that I have a regular day off tomorrow so we can enjoy the evening.
2. Thankful to have girlfriends who understand me and comfort me, especially when my husband doesn't.
3. Very thankful the aforementioned hubs read me better yesterday and attempted to comfort me by buying me a treat while he was at the grocery store AND just sitting in the kitchen with me and talking while I got my lunch together last night. SO much better than knowing I'm upset or sad and just trying to leave me alone with myself.
A couple of things, starting with that it is the most beautiful day ever....
I love my new coffee table/ottoman that was delivered yesterday for the living room....
I love the pool club that I joined! The people are nice and it is clean and it looks like it is going to be nice enough to enjoy it this weekend...
I am feeling cautiously optimistic with the progress that DH and I are making with our "issues"... time will tell.
In the meantime, I continue to get lots of support from my amazing family and friends. I'm most grateful for that.
:::group hug:::
This is great news. I hope things continue on a positive path for you.
1. DH because he bought me NKOTB/BSB tickets for Christmas (he got one for me and one for me to take my girlfriend)! I cannot wait for tomorrow night.
2. My pay raise! yea for being a Fed for a year!
good for you two! hopefully things will continue to progress....
"What is a week-end?"
thanks ladies!!!
I'm thankful that our oven died, which means we can get a new one that will hold it's temperature and I can finally bake stuff without having to sit in the kitchen and watch the thermometer.
Oh, and I got to eat Chick-Fil-A since I was on that side of town, shopping for said new oven. Wootz!
It's the little things, I tell you.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Totally needed this (turning all my negatives into positives):
1. That I even get to have a fancy phone (even if it is coming after the weekend not before because I forgot to finish fufilling my order).
2. My usually totally awesome participants that will be completing the 1/2 marathon this weekend with me, they have done awesome and have raised over $250,000 even though some of them have given me problems these last few days
3. My husband is awesome at destressing me and reminding me what is important in life. Don't know what I would do without him even if he drives me crazy sometimes.
ditto, i hope things keep improving *hugs*
i am grateful (and excited!) that we're going away this weekend. we are long overdue for a wine and beer soaked, relaxing getaway
i am grateful that my family is ok after the storms in masschusetts last night
after a craptastic, stressful afternoon, i am grateful to be looking at photos of my friend's daughter (after almost two years of trying and two rounds of IVF)
Aww, Pam, glad you got the party started!
I am grateful:
1) that my loyal dry cleaner who ruined a dress with alterations actually did right by me and reimbursed me. I'm glad I was able to cool off and address it positively and get it resolved!
2) that the next two weekends will be fun time with girlfriends! Wish DH luck with DS!
